No. Sadly, people in India have failed to realize the value of IEM in India. Let me be frank with you. There is not much scope for IEM in India. Also, placement opportunities are not that good. However, it has a lot of scope if you pursue higher studies and completer your post graduation ( M.Sc or MBA). I can give you better suggestions if I had known where your interest lies. Thank you. :)

The admission process for the M.Tech course at BMSCE or ACS College of Engineering is almost similar for the M.Tech course, in which candidates firstly require to complete their BTech degree with a minimum aggregate of 50%. Additionally, for the selection process, both of the colleges accept K-PGCET and GATE scores. However, the only difference that can be seen is BMSCE offers more than 10 specialisations in the M.Tech course, and ACS College of Engineering offers only one specialisation in the M.Tech course. Therefore, candidates applying to the distinct M.Tech specialisation are required to complete their BE/BTech programme in the relevant field/stream.

Getting admission into BMS College Basavanagudi was a smooth process, but it required good preparation and clarity about what I wanted. I applied through the KCET exam, and based on my rank, I was able to secure a seat in my preferred branch. The cutoffs can vary every year, so it's important to aim for a competitive rank. The counseling process was quite transparent and systematic. Once the seat was allotted, I had to complete the document verification and pay the fees within the given timeline. One thing I really liked about the admission process at BMS is the supportive staff and how organized everything was. It's important to keep track of all dates and have your documents ready in advance. If you're aiming to get in, start preparing early, focus on your entrance exam, and stay updated through the official websites.

With a 4487 rank in COMEDK, you may face problems in getting admission in both institutes, especially RVCE. The cutoff rank at RV College of Engineering in the year 2024 was 1636 for EC for general all-India. The cutoff at BMSCE was also on the higher side in the previous years. Although it cannot be guaranteed as the cutoff varies every year as per the seat intake and applicant's score. If you are not selected, you can also apply for other institutes, which can provide you a seat based on your rank.
