I don't think BMSCE is as bad as they say.
Placements: 86% of CSE students were placed in 2023-24. The highest package offered was 33.1 LPA, the lowest was around 3-4 LPA, and average packages are about 8-9 LPA. Top recruiting companies include Microsoft, Adobe, Infosys, Wipro, Dell, and others. Around 40% of students secured internships last year at companies like Dell, Amazon, and more. The most common roles offered are data analyst, software development engineer, and product engineer, among others.
Infrastructure: We have college Wi-Fi, but nobody I asked knows the password. The labs are well-equipped and maintained by the designated departments. The libraries are well-stocked with books and have ample space for students, even before exams. Classrooms are typically clean and well-maintained. Hostel facilities vary by branch; those around BMSCE are highly rated based on reviews. Food is okay, not great. Students are allowed to play games and sports on the grounds.
Faculty: Teachers are knowledgeable, reliable, and well-qualified. They know what they are teaching. The course curriculum is updated annually, so it stays current. Semester-end exams are more stressful than difficult, and the pass percentage remains above average.

It is a good college with a good campus.
Placements: About 90% of students got placed in our course/branch. The highest package offered to our branch is 90 LPA and the average package is 47 LPA. The lowest package is 22 LPA. The top recruiting companies for our course are Amazon, Flipkart, Microsoft, etc. About 98% of students got internships from our course in top companies.
Infrastructure: Facilities available in our college are college buses. It provides a library with a computer lab. All the lab equipment is well-maintained. Classrooms are very neat and clean. The hostel facility in our college is very good. There is a separate building for both boys and girls. It has a good security. It is safe for women. The food given in the hostel is very good and of quality.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are well-educated and they teach excellently. They are very helpful. The teaching quality is excellent. In our course, students are well-trained in college and they are to move or run the industry. This course is not difficult, and we should read from the first day so that we can score above the distinction.

A good college to enjoy college life but a really bad one if you are paying huge amount.
Placements: The placements at this college are really bad. The college shows fake placements to the newly admitted students and then doesn't provide any placements. They provide irrelevant jobs such as sales and marketing to people who have done computer science. The college is least bothered about students' lives.
Infrastructure: The campus is small but has good eateries and a huge library. The parking is good, and the infrastructure of one building is very good. However, the other buildings are old with broken windows and sinking washrooms.
Faculty: The faculty were not that great. They acted as if they knew everything, but they lacked skills. They weren't friendly with the students. There were a few friendly faculty members, but they expected students to always raise their work and wouldn't tolerate anything against them.
Other: Events are good.

BMS College of Engineering - My honest review.
Placements: More than 80% is our placement rate in college. My batch is 2024-2028 AIML. Last year there was a package offered in machine learning for 38 LPA. The average package is 10 LPA - 12 LPA. Top companies are Amazon, Nokia, Bosch, TCS, and many more. About 30-40% of students who applied get internships. Top roles offered are HR manager and data analyst.
Infrastructure: There are a lot of facilities in college from sports to studies, from cultural to extracurricular activities. Wi-Fi is available in library and labs everywhere except the new one APS building that is for 1st year. Hostel life is not that much good, it's fine only but the quality of food is best in the hostel.
Faculty: Teachers here are the most supportive and helpful. They have a very good knowledge, especially teachers for 2nd and 3rd years. The course curriculum is fully ready in college as they also update course content after new discover (about after a year) like in my course AIML, they did it last year too.
Other: As AI is on boom and there is very much scope in machine learning in the future. I will pass out in 2028. They can improve my course by adding a few relevant things related to 2-3rd year in 1st year only in place of chemistry and physics. Two best fests in college are Utsav and Phaseshift. Too much extracurricular activities are there at the college.

The best college from my experience.
Placements: There is an opportunity to avail of placemens, after the completion of the second year, with various pre-placement offers that are made in the internship programme. Multiple companies like Amazon, TCS, HDFC, ICICI, and many more visit the campus, with the highest salary average at 20 LPA and the minimum salary being 1 LPA. Top recruiters included Amazon, Brita, Bosch, Daily Hunt, Informatica, Epicore, Wipro, Westline, Volvo, TCS, Hyundai, Jabong, Elance, etc. Our Placement and Training Centre facilitated on-campus placement opportunities for us.
Infrastructure: The MBA course is a 2-year course with 4 semesters, with 2 semesters every year. Around 70% of the faculty team have completed their Ph.D. in their interest-based research field. They also have teaching experience of 5–10 years. The total hostel fee includes the mess charge, with the food being really tasty and healthy. The hostel has all the facilities like 24x7 water and power supply, study table, and more amenities that are provided to the students.
Faculty: The faculty of BMSCE is very well-versed and helpful. They are very approachable and patient with students. They are always ready to clear their doubts. They often gave us case studies to help us get to know our course better and in-depth. The course is divided over 4 semesters, with a number of subjects like business analytics, managerial economics, organizational behaviour, and operation research taught in the first year. The second year is for specialisation, and I had opted for marketing, with the professors giving immense focus on developing critical thinking skills and business ethics skills.

Honest review on BMSCE Bangalore.
Placements: Placement of BMSCE is good. They provide various opportunities for training, internship, and placement. The average placement is about 60 to 70 percent. If you have skills or knowledge, you can get high-paying jobs. The highest package is also good, around 40 Lacs.
Infrastructure: Classrooms of BMSCE are good, labs are good, but there is so much rush in college. Hostels are good, but due to a huge strength and fewer hostels, the quality of food in the mess is not good, and also the waiting time in the mess is too much.
Faculty: Faculty members are good and supportive. The semester is not going so hard, and the pass percentage is about 80-90 percent. Faculty members are very supportive in every perspective. The course curriculum of the college provides various opportunities, but still, in some areas, it is not good.
Other: I chose this course because I don’t have any other option. The fest of BMSCE, i.e., Utsav, is average.
