According to the verified Shiksha reviews, the M.Tech programme offered at the institute has received good reviews in terms of placements, infrastructure and quality of faculty members. According to the report released by the NIRF for the year 2023, the BMSCE median salary for M.Tech programme for the batch of 2022 stood at INR 7 LPA while it was 6.5 LPA for the year 2021. BMS College of Engineering eligibility criteria varies according to different programmes offered by the institute at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.Candidates who have passed Class 12 or equivalent examination with English as one of the languages and have obtained at least 45% aggregate (40% aggregate for SC, ST and Category-I candidates) in Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry/ Bio-Technology/ Biology/ Electronics or Computer Science as optional subjects can apply for admission to the BE programme offered at BMS College of Engineering.Candidates who want to take admission in the BE programme through management quota must have passed Class 12 examination with Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry/ CS/ Electronics with a minimum 60% aggregate. Candidates who have passed Diploma or equivalent examination with a minimum 45% aggregate (40% marks in case of SC, ST and backward classes candidates from Karnataka) are eligible to apply for BMS College BE admission through lateral entry.Candidate who have a BE/ BTech degree in the relevant discipline with a minimum 50% aggregate (45% marks in case of SC, ST and Category-I candidates from Karnataka) are eligible to apply for admission to the M.Tech programme. The round 1 and last round closing ranks for the BMS College of Engineering BE CSE course for 2023 were 891 and 1027 respectively for General All India category candidates. KCET's last round closing rank for BE CSE course was 1075 in the year 2022 and 680 in the year 2021. The institute also provides decent placement opportunities to the students.
