Average infrastructure, well-teaching facilities, and good placement.
Placements: As it is a government medical college and B.Sc. nursing is a professional course, there are plenty of job opportunities after completing the course. You can join any private nursing home as a staff nurse on the basis of your skills and marks quality. You can also join any private GNM colleges as a teacher or clinical instructor. Also, you can apply for government jobs such as staff nurse, RRB nurse and other central government jobs like nursing offices also.
Infrastructure: Classrooms and laboratories are well structured. Digital classrooms are also present. But sometimes, the classroom remains a little mess till cleaning. Hostel facilities for needy students are also available here. They charge Rs. 2500 per month for hostel food, Rs. 5 per month for hostel, and 336 for admission fees. Food quality is of average taste, but a healthy diet chart. A sports and gaming center is also present in the medical college.
Faculty: Teachers are so humble, polite and helpful to us. All of them, especially our principal ma'am is experienced and qualified, as it is a government college. Regular class tests and presentations also help us to be prepared for future competitive exams. All the medical colleges in West Bengal are under the West Bengal University of Health Sciences. Here, the semester exams are a little bit tough, but in our college, the pass percentage is about 99%, which is quite remarkable. But clinical duty, presentation, and class tests make our daily routine a little busy.
Other: I chose this course because of job opportunities and respect. The best things are the placement, opportunities for higher education and moreover the blessings we gather every day during giving patient care. Campus environment is good, and there's plenty of trees bt I think space can be increased and modified more. College picnics, tours, and fests are very enjoyable for us. The benefits of government and central government scholarships are also available.
