No direct admissions are not available for many courses at CMC Vellore. Students must clear the entrance tests for a successful admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate courses at CMC. The CMC College has an attached hospital where treatments are provided to patients. The college gives free and subsidised care to marginalised people, the poorest of the poor. Patients who have no means of livelihood & who are referred to CMC Vellore by its social workers in CMC's community centres
