SRCC History
Some of the historical facts about Shri Ram College of Commerce:
- The origin of the college is chronicled in the year 1920, on the day of Basant Panchmi by the seven leading businessmen headed by Sir Shri Ram and established the Commercial Education Trust in Delhi. In the same year, the trust set up ‘The Commercial School’ at Charkhewalan in Delhi and it offers Post- Matriculation Diploma Programme in Commerce.
- The first batch of students of The Commercial College was enrolled on the first floor of a Hall opposite the St. James Church at Kashmere Gate. The first batch was started with twelve students and four faculty members from a hired bungalow at Darya Ganj, New Delhi.
- In 1926, the Commercial College was affiliated to the University of Delhi and six years later it was upgraded to the status of a Degree College.
- In 1943, the college was introduced with BA (Hons) and MA (Economics). In 1948, the introduction of a Master’s degree in Commerce.
- In 1951, on the occasion of the Silver Jubilee, the Commercial Colleges particularised in the field of commerce and economics. In 1954, the college shifted completely to its present-day campus in the North Campus, University of Delhi. In 1957, the college converted to a coeducational institution. In 1960, it was a period of infrastructural expansion for Shri Ram College of Commerce.
- In 1985, the girls' hostel was constructed, making SRCC the first among all co-educational colleges of the University of Delhi and have its hostel for female students.
- In 1999, the college introduced its Post Graduate Diploma in Global Business Operations (PGDGBO), a unique self-financed PG Diploma course to deliver quality management education for excellence in international business.

SRCC MCom cutoff 2025 has been released for the second round, on the basis of candidates' performance in CUET PG. As per the round 2 cutoff list, it is not possible to get admission at 150 score in CUET PG. The cutoff for the General AI category candidates was closed at 184.
