CUET UG scores are not accepted by IITs. Common University Entrance Test for UG is conducted for admission to state, central, private, deemed and government institutions. Admission to UG courses of IITs is offered through other national level entrance examinations.
For admission in Universities through CUET UG 2026, the policies regarding quota, category, relaxation, reservations, qualification, subject combinations, preferences etc of the respective University / Institution shall be applicable. For appearing in CUET exam there is no age limit, however, candidates must check the age criteria (if any) prescribed the university in which candidate is desirous of taking admission.
As the CUET eligibility criteria for admission may be unique for every University, the candidates are advised to visit the University website to which they are applying for their respective course and check the subject mapping criteria and age criteria.

How to Check CUET BTech Eligibility Criteria?
Students planning to take admission to B.Tech course based on CUET course must know the CUET subject combination and eligibility criteria of their target university. Follow below steps to check subject mapping and eligibility.
- Visit cuet.nta.nic.in.
- Click on Universities tab on header menu of homepage.
- Select Type of University among central, state, private, deemed and other government institutions.
- Search for your target university name and click on it.
- Look for B.Tech course in opened PDF.
- Check eligibility requirements and UG subjects required.
After checking list of CUET UG subjects required for B.Tech course, candidates must apply for the entrance exam by filling CUET application form on or before January 30, 2026. Only candidates who will appear for the specific subjects for B.Tech will be able to participate in admission process of target university.
