SRCC: The dream college review by a first-year student.
Placements: The placement cell is one of the most highlighted aspects of SRCC. The brand value that the name holds attracts the top recruiters overall. The competition remains tough. Although one holds maximum chance of getting placed at a reputed company if the CV gets shortlisted, it takes A LOT to get it past that stage. It wouldn't be wrong to say that an average CV of an SRCC student might even be better than the best CV of the other colleges. So the competition is what makes it tough otherwise ample opportunities are provided.
Infrastructure: I would say that the infra is pretty good. We are provided with all the essential facilities and even though problems arise, they are addressed by the authorities in very little time. The college canteen has been functional since the last week (second week of August) and not so soon after that, a petition was filed concerning the hot and humid temperature. It was addressed by the authorities within less than 4 days and the AC's have already been installed. The construction work seems to be happening recently since the college has entered its second century.
Faculty: I think the faculty is one of the main reasons that make SRCC stand out compared to other north campus colleges. Some highly qualified individuals don't just disseminate information like high school teachers but also help us do critical thinking. The plus point is that almost all the professors have published or assisted in writing various books from their field of study (which are also used to teach in other colleges).
Other: SRCC offers only B.A. Economics Hons and B.Com (Hons). I am enrolled in B.Com (Hons) because it provides more career options than Eco Hons. Given that I don't really have my life and interests figured out. I wanted to keep the maximum options in view so that I can explore and discover my niche during my college period. The annual fest Crossroads is among the best fests in DU and other than that the college societies keep arranging various events in which famous personalities are very often invited as guests so it provides a great platform for building connections. Overall I would rate the college (keeping various factors in mind) as 9/10.

SRCC is definitely the best college in commerce and economics.
Placements: Approximately 70% of the batch gets placed (the rest opt out of placements). The highest package offered this year is 40 LPA, and the lowest is around 6 LPA (though no one usually takes this offer). The average package is around 13 LPA. Top recruiters in consulting include McKinsey, BCG, Bain, and Kearney. In finance, recruiters include JP Morgan, White Oak Capital, Barclays, and Bank of America. Internships are also good, with an average stipend of around Rs. 70,000. Top roles include Investment Banking, Business Analyst, and Research Analyst.
Infrastructure: The college definitely has a smaller campus. Infrastructure-wise, it is decent. Only SRCC has AC in every classroom. Classrooms are well-lit with properly working projectors. The SRCC Wi-Fi is not very strong. It works, but the speed is slow, and the range does not reach some corners. The library is good and air-conditioned, but its capacity is too small to accommodate everyone. So many students often do not get seating. The only good thing about the hostel is the food. The rooms are small.
Faculty: SRCC holds a strong reputation for its rigorous academic background in Economics and Commerce. Teachers are very good, supportive, and knowledgeable. The B.Com course is a little outdated in terms of syllabus and is not very relevant except for CA students. The Economics syllabus is slightly better and more challenging. The semester exams are very easy (can be passed by studying in the last 10 days). The pass requirement is a 4 GPA aggregate.
Other: Overall, SRCC provides one of the best college experiences one can imagine. It can become boring and stressful at times due to extremely tough competition. I chose Economics because I like Maths and Economics. I did not prefer Accounts, so I did not go for B.Com. I believe the course should include more dynamic subjects like private colleges do. The subjects we study have been the same for many years. SRCC is very active in societies and has a lot of events lined up.

Lucky to be here in SRCCC.
Placements: I am from B.Com (Hons.), and the batch is really good. The highest package is 36 LPA, and the median package is 14 LPA. The best roles are offered in consulting and finance, followed by strategy, growth, and sales. I attend regularly and can say that the societies are among the best in the first tier.
Infrastructure: The hostel is very good. I like that the food quality can be improved. At least we have full Wi-Fi with 200 Mbps speed. The quality is good, the medical facilities are very good, and the AC is the best. I like the brick walls and the vibe. Students are helpful and perform their best.
Faculty: The curriculum involves case studies and real-time experiments. We are also taken to the lawns during EVS classes. The interaction makes the classroom environment vibrant.
Other: The campus crowd is very intelligent and extremely curious. AC is the best facility, and I like the vibe. It is good to see every student here, but life can sometimes be toxic due to high stress.

I feel really satisfied with the overall placements in 2025.
Placements: In SRCC, about 525 students were placed from undergraduate courses out of a total of 1095 students (47%). Some of the top recruiters in SRCC were McKinsey and Company, FTI Consulting, Boston Consulting Company, and Bain & Company. The key roles that are offered for economics students at SRCC include Consulting, Investment Banking, and Financial Analyst. The highest package is 36 LPA, the average is 9.9 LPA, and the lowest is 3.5 LPA. Over 120 students got internship offers, making it roughly 10.9% in McKinsey & Co., Boston Consulting Group, and Accenture Strategy.
Infrastructure: SRCC has fully air-conditioned classrooms, a library, tutorial rooms, and even a canteen. Wi-Fi is available across most parts of the campus and even in the hostels. But the accessibility of Wi-Fi and the network is quite low in tutorial blocks, and sometimes creates huge problems in hostels, too. The food is above average and affordable to students, too.
Faculty: The teaching faculty at SRCC is really helpful, qualified, knowledgeable, and supportive. They teach the concepts thoroughly and are ready to solve students' doubts beyond the teaching hours. I believe that the course curriculum for the economics department is somewhat relevant to make us industry-ready, but not sufficient alone. Semester exams in college are way easier than the internals that we have to study for. Semester exams are very scoring.

Amazing college with great infrastructure and teachers but above-average placements.
Placements: More than 50% of students get placed. The highest package offered so far is 35 LPA, the lowest package is 3.5 LPA, and the average package is around 8–9 LPA. Top recruiters include the Big 4 firms, Meesho, and MBB consulting companies. Barely 7–10% of students from the course get internships, mainly in Big 4 and MBB companies. The top roles offered are related to consulting and finance.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is really good and has been updated with new Wi-Fi this year. Classrooms are always clean. The library has AC, and new washrooms have also been built. Hostel facilities are worth the money. The food available in the mess is better than what is offered in PGs.
Faculty: Teachers at SR are very knowledgeable and qualified. They know textbooks. The course curriculum is somewhat irrelevant because of SEC, VAC, and AEC classes, which seem unnecessary. However, the core subjects help students become industry-ready. Semester exams are manageable, neither too easy nor too difficult.

I’m not satisfied with the college.
Placements: I don't know about the placement percentage, but I think it is quite decent here, and not many students go for placement and rather choose higher studies and prepare for professional courses. The highest package is around 35 LPA, and the minimum might be 4 LPA. Top companies include MBBS, JP Morgan, Deloitte, EY, and many more. Internship percentages are quite low here.
Infrastructure: The college provides all facilities mentioned in it and also provides hostel facilities, whose seats are quite limited and are based on merit. The hostel mess food is decent, and the canteen food is also average. The medical facility is not much great here, but you can get to play different types of sports.
Faculty: Faculty here is really great and have very much experience in their field, and the teaching quality is also great. But I don't think that the curriculum is relevant now, and they are teaching that stuff which does not have any significance in the corporate world. The semester exams are not very difficult here.
Other: I was not really interested in the course, it was the college I chose and not the course. I wish that the syllabus would be updated and teach us more practical things. The events, fest, and ECA are great here.
