A creative and supportive environment for budding architects.
Placements: Many students are able to land jobs in design firms. Faculty members assist students in ensuring their portfolios are strong for placement success. While some choose to further their education or practice on their own. Almost all students who take part in the placement round get placed.
Infrastructure: Well equipped studios with a computer lab and 3d printing lab facilities. LAN is provided in every studio with multiple outlets. The hostel is in very close proximity to the architecture block where the provisions of 2 sharing are given. The food quality is great.
Faculty: Faculty members team comprises a very experienced team. The curriculum balances theory and practical application very well. Regular site visits, guest lectures and workshops enrich the learning experiences. The fundamental concepts of sustainability and construction technology are covered.
Other: A very joyful and green campus with all amenities.

General review of college.
Placements: College has assigned a team that looks into the placement for the 10th semester internships. I am yet in 3rd year and have seen our seniors work for various firms, even the guest lecturers who have been to our college. So I would say that it is sufficient.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure and facilities are quite satisfactory, with labs being equipped with basic software and ethernet. Library is constantly being updated with newer editions and releases, covering various subjects - interiors, MEP, etc. The mess is well-maintained.
Faculty: The teaching faculty members are quite knowledgeable. They are helpful even after classes. The course curriculum could be a bit more updated to current trends and innovation, but this is informally taken up by faculty if approached. The semester exam prepares us adequately for semester-end exams.
Other: The course covers various subjects like services, construction, designing, etc. It helps us understand the working world. Fests happen each semester and are adequately hyped without deviating from learning.

Dissatisfied with the college.
Placements: The architecture course doesn't have placements. Internships are provided purely based on portfolios and the performance of students in the interviews.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi almost never works. The QR codes are expired. Labs are equipped with AutoCAD and SketchUp and multiple other software, but the systems are old. The food in the mess is really good. They provide unlimited food for people who stay in hostels. The girls' hostel is very bad. The maintenance isn't great, and the space provided is not sufficient. Medical facilities are a bare minimum. There is a football and cricket ground.
Faculty: The teachers are very well-qualified and knowledgeable. Most of the teachers are from CEPT and have a very thorough understanding of the course and its requirements. Semester exams are easy but time-consuming. It is difficult to remain in this course without being passionate about it.

Review of Dayananda Sagar College of Architecture.
Placements: Placement opportunities are not structured in this field. But the college helps and guides many of my seniors to get placed in good design firms with roles at different levels. Faculty members guide and help students to make strong portfolios that help us get placed in good firms and pursue further education.
Infrastructure: Campus has well-equipped studios and computer labs with the necessary software. They are well-maintained. Library has good resources and a wide collection of books. A wide range of journals and magazines are updated from time to time. The administration provides digital copies that can be easily accessed. 3D printing machines are available for us. It explore the technology and encourage innovation and design thinking.
Faculty: Faculty members are knowledgeable and experienced in various design fields. Practical knowledge is provided through guest lectures, workshops, and seminars. The curriculum is mostly relevant and includes workshops to help students understand real-world challenges and possibilities of the profession. The semester exams test overall understanding of concepts, sketching, and architectural writing skills in theory subjects, and practical understanding in the vivas.
Other: The best thing about this course is that it encourages creativity and critical design thinking while enhancing human comfort and experience in spaces at various levels. The academics focus mostly on designing, while the profession in the real world is wider and multidisciplinary. Academics focus on context-specific applications rather than general ones. As students, we are always encouraged to participate in architectural competitions, which provide exposure to various ideas. Fests and events include extracurricular activities that help us showcase talents in various fields.

Faculty members are helpful and approachable.
Placements: Although the college is still developing on the placement front, faculty is always very approachable in this regard and give us recommendations and referrals that help us in this field. The students are well prepared through strong guidance and practical knowledge.
Infrastructure: The library is well-equipped and helps us with all the research work and our design work. The labs have systems with the required software installed and are used by students. In terms of other infrastructure, the college has a ground and three canteens that serve hygienic and good food.
Faculty: Faculty members are all very knowledgeable in this profession and are very dedicated. They are always approachable and guide us on the right path. They also help us by shaping how we present ourselves on the career front and not just in academics. The college is affiliated to VTU, and we follow the curriculum and exam patterns set by them.
Other: Architecture, though a very challenging course, has found its way to me. This subject isn't just about buildings. It's about how every design tells a story, and that excites me. Being in the college, I find many more reasons to like this course. That being said, this course is for those who are extremely passionate about it and are ready to go through sleepless nights and lots of hard work.
