In order to qualify for the BDS curriculum at Sree Balaji Dental College and Hospital, you must have successfully completed your 12th standard with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology subjects. It is necessary that you score at least 50% marks in the subjects concerned if you belong to general category while for the reserved category it is 40%. In addition, you are required to pass NEET examination which is mandatory in dental colleges across India. The college also considers students who have done their intermediate education from any recognised board like CBSE, ICSE or state boards. Additionally, you should be no less than 17 years when applying for the BDS program. Hefty fees can be a concern! Dental College and Hospital Pune Bharati Vidyapeeth is a private college, but like other private dental colleges in India it charges tremendously high amounts. The fee in this BDS programme varies between INR 5-6 Lacs every year making it about INR 25-30 Lacs for the entire five-year course. Then there are hostel fees, food plus other expenses leading to total expenses of around INR 35-40 lakhs. Now I know this appears to be a large amount; however, think of it this way: what you are paying for is a degree from one of the most prestigious universities which would send you right into amazing job opportunities and financial security over time. The college has announced its cutoff ranks for different categories, with a general category cutoff of BDS admissions between180000-200000. In the case of OBC candidates, the cutoff is between 200000 and 220000 while SC/ST candidates will have cutoffs between250000-280000. On MDS admissions also the cutoffs vary by specialty and category from a low of 1,803 to a high of 10,985. It should be noted that these cutoffs are not final they might change depending on the test performance and other factors so it’s always advisable to contact the college directly to know about the changes in cutoff rankings.

First and foremost, one should have attained at least 17 years by December 31st in the year of entry. Secondarily, you must have completed your Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination or its equivalent with physics, chemistry, and biology as your main subjects along with compulsory English language studies. A minimum of 50% score in Physics, Chemistry and Biology is required for general category candidates while scores ranging from 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology is required of SC/ST/OBC candidates. Likewise, it is mandatory to appear in National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG) conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). Furthermore, candidates should either belong to Maharashtra state residence or they must pass HSC exam at an institution based in Maharashtra. The last but not least criterion is that one should be physically healthy so as to be able to provide a certificate issued by registered medical professionals and also a good conduct letter from former school.
