About Sant Gadge Baba University.
Placements: We are from a biotechnology background, but all the placements of our class are done in IT. 50% of students were placed in IT companies during mass hiring. TCS, Infosys, and Wipro recruit the highest number of students, even hiring commerce students with a package of 3.6 LPA. Some got internships, but the stipend is very low, ranging from 8 to 9k.
Infrastructure: Our college is government-affiliated, part of a university with many colleges. Wi-Fi is available, but its speed is very low. The library is very big and clean. Our hostel fees are very low. We get separate tables, fans, and cupboards from the college. Breakfast and lunch are provided by the mess, but the quality is average.
Faculty: Our summer vacations are very short, and faculty don't organize many events or competitions; they focus on syllabus completion. Our course is highly demanding in industries, making us industry-ready. Exams are moderately difficult; in the main exam, scoring 28 marks is required, and internal marks are based on internal exams.
Other: Our college campus is very large, and the college offers various scholarships based on merit and category.

My real experience at SGBAU.
Placements: For placement, many companies conduct drives but take interviews of 40 students and select only one student; sometimes, no students get selected. I did not get any placement. Only 3 of us got a job in Lupin as an intern, later converted into a permanent role of a bio-technician at a salary of 30,000 per month.
Infrastructure: College feels very low; it frequently organizes expert talks, scholarships, career talks, and many events. Our lab has each and every equipment and chemical that will help us in practicals. The hostel was good; our Warden is very strict, and we have to get permission every time we leave the hostel for more than 3 hours. There is no hospital or medical facility provided by the college.
Faculty: Teachers mostly use presentations to teach; they need to change their teaching skills as many students get sleepy during their lectures. The course curriculum includes biotechnology practicals, lectures, and industrial training. Exams are not difficult, but the backlog papers feel very high.
Other: We have only 2 days for the annual fest this year.
