The DLIS MLISc application process is conducted online. Candidates willing to secure admission to the MLISc course offered at the department must follow a series of steps to compete the application process. 4. Submit a non-refundable application fee of INR 250 through the online payment gateway.

DLIS, Somaiya Vidyavihar University, has specified the minimum eligibility requirement that must be met in order to secure admission to its MLISc programme. There are multiple entry options for the programme and each has its own eligibility criteria. All these options are listed below:

• A graduate in any discipline from a recognised university is eligible to take admission to the first semester of the programme.
• Candidates with a Bachelor's degree, a Diploma/ Certificate course in Library & Information Science, and working experience of five years are eligible to take admission to the first semester of the programme.
• Candidates who have graduated with a BLISc degree or completed the second semester of MLISc from a recognised institute are eligible to take admission to the third semester of the programme.

Department of Library and Information Science MLISc admission is finalised only after the candidates have submitted all the required documents and the documents have been verified by the department. The admission of the candidates failing to submit the required documents within the due time is cancelled. Listed below are the documents required during the admission process:

• Class 10 Mark sheet & Passing Certificate (Board Certificate)
• Class 12 Mark sheet & Passing Certificate (Board Certificate)
• First Year, Second Year & Third Year Mark sheet
• Third Year Passing & Convocation Certificate
• Any valid address and date of birth proof; Aadhar Card
• Marriage Certificate or Affidavit for married female candidate (for change in name)
• Passport size photograph
• Migration certificate for students from universities other than Somaiya Vidyavihar University
• Candidate whose results are awaited must submit an undertaking

Department of Library and Information Science (SVU Mumbai) offers a full-time MLISc course. Candidates seeking admission to the course must apply through the common admission portal on the official SVU website. While applying, they must compulsorily pay an application fee of INR 250. It can be paid through the online payment gateway available on the website. The application fee is non-refundable.
