Placements: The university? S Training & Placement Cell reports that it collaborates with major organisations like Tata Steel, Tata Power, Teach Mahindra, HCL Technologies, Vedanta Ltd. SBI Life Insurance among others. For the year 2023: Tata Steel recruited for package of ?3.0 Lacs p. a. for the role of Mining Supervisors. Tata Power recruited two students (Assistant Officer? Trainee) at about ?2.4 Lacs p. a. Teach Mahindra had selection drives offering around ?1.7? 3.2 Lacs p. a. for certain roles. There is structured training (e. g. , with an external partner, covering business skills, communication skills, aptitude, interview skills) before placements drive.

Infrastructure: Campus size & location The university is spread over about 71 acres (two campuses: North and South) in Keonjhar district. The state government has allotted an additional 40.19 acres of land for expansion and waived dues of a large amount to support infrastructure growth. 2. Library & Computer Centre The central library (named after Gopabandhu Das) has over 81,604 books, subscribes to 393 journals, and has a Wi-Fi-enabled e-library with 32 computer systems.

Faculty: 1. Faculty DDU reports that it currently has around 59 regular faculty members (who were earlier at affiliated colleges and redeployed to the university) and 25 guest-faculty engaged across departments. Programmes: two semesters each academic year (Odd semester: July? December; Even semester: January? June). It follows the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) for its courses. For theory papers: the total is 100 marks per paper? 20 marks are for in? Semester (mid-term) assessment (IAE) and 80 marks for the end-semester exam.

Other: DDU list on its website that a variety of state- and central-government scholarship scheme are being made available to students, especially those from underprivileged backgrounds. They show actual numbers: for example in the 2022-23 session, 1,189 students benefited under the Post-Matric Scholarship scheme, and in 2023-24 they validated 834 applications under that same scheme.
