My experience with DMI (Patna, Bihar).

Placements: Placement wise Development Management Institute (DMI) is very good and has an excellent placement record. There is a placement team to assist in Internship placement and also in our final placement. Companies Like Sudha Diary, Rural banks any many more come to campus for placement.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good, it has updated computer labs and library. Wi-Fi is available in the campus. Classrooms are good which are cleaned daily and have projectors installed. Hostel facility is available in the college. Medical facility is also available in the college.

Faculty: Institute has qualified and knowledgeable teachers who are always ready to help us in our studies. Teaching quality is too good. The course that is also updated and makes the students industry-ready. So, Faculty and Course curriculum wise DMI is perfect.

Other: New campus of DMI is under construction in Bihta (Bihar) and will be ready by 2021.

Best college for the development sector.

Placements: DMI has hundred percent placement records since its first batch. Last year, the average placement was 4.2 lakhs, but this year, the average placement will be much higher. For this year, the maximum placement is 7.2 lakhs in Technoserve. Companies like Delhi Commission For Women, Reliance Foundation, Jeevika, COMFED, AKRSP, FES, CEE came for placements.

Infrastructure: DMI has a very well equipped computer lab, high-speed Wi-Fi is available all around the campus. This college has a very rich library with the subscription of many newspapers, journals and articles. This college has a classroom with all the latest facilities. No sports and games are conducted here.

Faculty: All faculty members belong to very reputed institutes in the world like JNU. Faculty members have a long working experience in companies like Accenture. They are very helpful in nature. There is more than one permanent faculty member on every four students. Students get many opportunities for industry exposure and field visits.

Placements: I am from 2018-20 batch. Whole batch has been placed with an average package of 5.5 Lacs and the highest 7.5 Lacs this year. Top recruiters of this year are BRLPS (Jeevika), Jal Jeewan Hariyali, COMFED, AKRSP, JM Financial CSR, Ujjiwan Small Finance Bank, MPSRLM, Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education (MGNCRE), B-Able (BASIX) and Quest Alliance. At the time when whole world is grappling with menace of COVID-19 pandemic and all economic activities is at the worst, DMI has been able to place its all participants in different reputed organizations.

Infrastructure: Fully Wi-Fi enabled campus with world class infrastructure. Digital library having all top journals, magazines and Newspapers. Availability of Doctors is also there in the campus as well as hostel. Facilities of indoor games have been provided in hostel.

Faculty: All faculty members are from top institutions like IIM, JNU, IRMA and XLRI. Along with teaching, few of them are having work experience of industries as well as development sector. This whole curriculum has been designed in such a way that it makes participant ready to work on field with its classroom session and three experiential learning components.

Other: This institute is fully supported by Government of Bihar and this course has been designed to prepare a cadre of development professionals who can cater the need of development sector in rural as well as urban set up.

Review of DMI - Development Management Institute.

Placements: Placements in our college are more than 100% for all the 3 batches. The highest salary package offered was 8.2 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 3.5 LPA. Companies like AKRSPI, Srijan, TechnoServe, Samasta, Saathi, etc., and sectors ranges from NGOs, cooperatives to banks and microfinance visit our college for placements. Internships provided by the college are very efficient. Almost 100% of the students get an internship here. The highest stipend offered was Rs. 10,000 per month and the lowest stipend offered was Rs. 5,000 per month. The focus of the whole course is towards practical and field learning. So internships have great importance here.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility is available on the campus. Our library has an advanced RFID system. Classrooms are well furnished. The institute still has rented campus. Sports like badminton are available in the hostel. Rooms and quality of food served in the hostel is very good. I did not face any infrastructure-related issues during my tenure at the college.

Faculty: Faculty members in our college are experienced and the best. Their teaching quality is great. They are not limited to teaching, but also focus on overall growth and development. The course curriculum is very helpful and sorted. All the sessions conducted by them are interactive. Teachers use case studies, discussions, etc., for teaching students.

Other: Few events like Suvikas, Drucker-Kurien week and symposium on foundation days for two days are organised at the college.
