One of the best MBA departments within all the IITs.

Placements: 90% of the batch was placed. The highest package was 18 LPA and was 6 LPA. Top recruiters were KPMG India, Bristlecone, Cognizant, ICICI Bank, etc. There are student exchange programmes with some of the top universities around the world which also is an added perk of studying in this university.

Infrastructure: State of the art facilities were provided with respect to the labs, classrooms, libraries, etc. Hostel facilities were great and the mess food was good too. Department is around 500 metres from the hostel and students use bicycles to commute to the department.

Faculty: All the professors and assistant professors in the faculty were Ph.D. holders and had good acumen and knowledge. The course curriculum is a bit outdated and could be improved. The semester exams were tough but based on the old fashioned model where marks were obtained based on wrote learning. Pass percentage is 35%. .

Other: Since the department is within the IIT campus hence you get to be a part of national level fests, sports competitions and a number of extracurricular and co-curricular activities.

High empower knowledge with IIT Roorkee.

Placements: Nearly 85% of students in the every stream are placed. Some students favour higher education. The quality of placements at IITR is excellent, with leading firms like Microsoft, supportive placement and internship cells, and 87% of candidates are placed across all the fields.

Infrastructure: Every pupil. Additionally, research facilities are up to par. Libraries are subjected with an abundance of literature in every subject. And laboratories are well-equipped. Both hostels and LHCs are immaculately kept and offer excellent study spaces.

Faculty: Faculty members have strong domain expertise and are well competent in their fields. Every year, new technology is added to maintain the standard of education. When we join the companies, the courses won't aid the students. And all the faculty are highly graduated.

It has great placements, infrastructure, and faculties, and overall a great B-school to do your MBA.

Placements: Every year there are 100% placements with great packages and quite a few big brands visit the campus for recruitment. The department plays a very supportive role when it comes to placements by providing proper placement preparation to the students.

Infrastructure: The department is housed in a state-of-the-art 2-story building with adequate infrastructure, and air-conditioned classrooms. The hostel infrastructure is also great. The campus is lush green and almost all the facilities are available within the campus itself.

Faculty: Faculty members are among the best in their respective fields with some of them being ranked within the top 2% in the world by Harvard. Also, the faculty-student ratio is about 1:3 which is among the best in the country. The department currently follows an 8-term system with 4 terms in a year.

I'm moderately satisfied. Placements are very substandard with quality education and self-growth.

Placements: Not all students get placed through campus placements. Students have to get placements on their own. Some legacy recruiters visit here every year for recruitment. Apart from them, the placement committee almost doesn't make any effort to get students placed.

Infrastructure: As it is an IIT, the complete infrastructure available is top-notch. DOMS IITR building is also one of the main attractive things for IIT. The hostels are old as some are being renovated ever since their existence for decades/centuries. Overall, it's a good place.

Faculty: All the faculty members in Department of Management Studies, IIT Roorkee are PhD holders and have vast experience. They are experts in their field. The curriculum consists of 4 terms in a year which is very hectic. Due to a lot of guest lectures, the quality of education becomes high, but you will not have any personal life.

Review of DMS IIT Roorkee - Department of Management Studies.

Placements: This course has a strength of 90 students and the placement rate is 98%, only who opt out are not eligible. One can see the report on the college site. The highest salary package offered was 54 LPA. The average salary package offered is around 9.6 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 7.5 LPA. Top companies are KPMG, Rbs, Infosys, Oyo, etc. Summer internships are handled by the college placement team, and it's 100%.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is very good, and it's one of the best colleges in India. The main building is classic. All the classrooms have air-conditioner, and the campus is fully Wi-Fi enabled. The library is one of the best things about this college. It is of 3-storey equipped with air-conditioner and facilities. There is a hospital on the campus for staff and students. The campus provides all kind of sports facilities from squash to football, gym to pool.

Faculty: As it's an IIT college, all teachers and departments are handled by MHRD. The course curriculum is very relevant; that's why students of this college get placed in good companies and also clear competitive exams. The quality of teaching is good, but it can be improved a lot.

Other: As I wanted to improve my business knowledge and groom my personality, that's why I have chosen MBA. A lot of events are conducted here like cultural fest, tech fest, and alumni meet. The crowd is great in both the fest as it's the most reputed college in the north. College provides opportunities for scholarships and fellowship programs in overseas.

Review of DMS IIT Roorkee - Department of Management Studies.

Placements: Currently, I am pushing the MBA from this college, so I don't know about current placements. As per the previous report, There are 100% placements, along with summer placements. The highest salary package offered in the previous year was 57 LPA by international companies. The average salary package offered is around 9.5 LPA. All the details about placements are available on the website. The college provides100% placements for summer internships. Reputed companies Like KPMG, RBS, Future First offer internships.

Infrastructure: IIT Roorkee is Asias 1st technical college, and its architecture is very good. The campus is classic and lush green. The library is available for 24 hours, and there is a good Wi-Fi facility. The hostel is average, and it is a single room occupancy. There are two student activity centres for sports and games, and the college has its own hospital facility. The mess food is average, and also it doesn't serve chicken.

Faculty: This college is famous for its research papers. Teachers have very good knowledge, and most of them conduct classes in overseas. The courses offered are good, and they provide corporate world exposure. Operations and marketing are the best courses here. Our course provides a lot of industry visits to understand the corporate world better.

Other: I chose this course as I want to groom my self in MBA, and the best thing about this course is that you can understand how an article developed in our mind is produced in real life. Fests organised here are high-level, and Thomso and Congnijence are the biggest cultural and tech fests in North India. The campus crowd is around 8,000 people.

Candidates who have passed a master's degree are eligible to apply for PhD programme at DoMS IIT Roorkee. Besides, aspirants must also pass any of the accepted entrance exams for admission.
