Placements: The S & SS Ghandhy College is a very old and reputed institution in Surat, Gujarat. The college has an excellent placement drive on campus. After completing a Diploma or degree, well-known companies visit for placement drives. For freshers in Surat, the average package is 1.4 LPA.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is old-fashioned, as it is the oldest college in Surat. However, they provide quality education and have well-educated faculty members. They offer hostel facilities for students coming from outside Surat, and a mess facility is available at the hostel campus.

Faculty: The faculty members of Dr. S. & S. Ghandhy College are very intelligent and knowledgeable, sharing their expertise and experience with every student. As the college is part of GTU, the exam pattern and difficulty are higher compared to other board colleges.

Our college has a very good campus.

Placements: Around 25% of students get placed in our course. The highest salary package offered is 5.5 LPA and the lowest salary package is 1 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Adani, Tata, L&T, etc. Around 50% of students get internships in our course. Supervisor and guide roles are offered in our college.

Infrastructure: Library, garden, labs, Wi-Fi, playground facilities, and infrastructure are available in our department. Fans, beds, sports equipment, and medical kits are provided in the hostel. The quality of the food is good. Medical facilities are provided in our college. Sports are held every year.

Faculty: Teachers in our college are helpful, humble, and supportive. They are well-qualified with Ph.D. or ME. The course curriculum is relevant. It makes students industry ready. Semester exams are related to the course and are not difficult. The pass percentage is 70%.

Other: I chose this course because I love machines. Labs and practicals should be improved. All the activities are held in our college. Our campus is good.

Placements: Almost 80% of students got placed in our course. The highest salary package offered is 1.2 LPA. The average salary package offered is 1 LPA, and the lowest salary offered is Rs. 5,000 per month. Top recruiting companies are Maruti Suzuki, L&T, Jio, Vodafone, Airtel, etc. Almost 40% of students got internships from our course in L&T, Maruti Suzuki, and Jio.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and a library are available in our department. Our college has a hostel. The hostel rooms are not clean. The food served in the hostel is not good. We can play many games in our college like kabaddi, cricket, football, and volleyball. There is no canteen in our college.

Faculty: Our teachers teach us very well. They help us in our micro-projects and learn something new in studies. We have 2 mid-exams and 1 university exam. These exams are not difficult. All students pass exams. The pass percentage is 40%.

Other: I opted for this course because I like to make machines, and I want to become an engineer. We celebrate events. Our campus provides scholarships to students. Our college conducts a sports and games week.

It is a good college for the diploma in engineering in Surat.

Placements: L&T and other companies visit our college to conduct an interview for students who do not have any backlogs. If you have more than 2 backlogs, then no company allows you for an interview. Roles like diploma trainee and trainee engineer are offered here.

Infrastructure: Our college has free Wi-Fi in some areas. It has all types of labs related to our course. Classrooms are old, but it is average considering the fee. It is a government college. It also has a library. The hostel fee is minimum for the first-year diploma course fee is Rs. 920. For 2nd and 3rd years, it is Rs. 675. Mostly everyone gets admission to the hostel.

Faculty: Our college is affiliated with GTU. Final University exams are taken by GTU of 70 marks. In between, mid-semester exams are taken by the college of 30 marks. Exams are easy, and all the syllabus are according to GTU. It conducts mid-semester and final exams seriously because all marks are counted in results much as university exams.

Our college is providing good placements for the last 5-6 years.

Placements: Placements are the best thing about this college. Around 90% of the students got placed in good companies. The highest salary package offered was 2.7 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 1.2 LPA which is a good figure for any diploma engineer. top MNCs like AM/NS, Multiple divisions of L&T, LM Wind Power (A general electric subsidiary), Bajaj, Asahi, etc., came to recruit people. Around 10% of the students got an apprenticeship in GSECL and Kribhco. Students got placed as production engineers, project engineers, sales executives, and service engineers.

Infrastructure: The campus is filled with greenery which gives a peaceful environment for study. The entire campus has a Wi-Fi connection everywhere. Our college is old enough so you'll get to see some old buildings. Labs and workshops have almost all the equipment needed for practicals and teachers are so good that they never skip any practical/experiment. Hostel is average and they don't have a mess facility instead they have a tiffin service in the hostel which provides food. There are 2-3 volleyball courts on the campus and enough places to play anything.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and friendly here. They are always ready to help you with any kind of problem. Faculty here is highly qualified and knowledgeable some have even published their books on particular subjects. They are so passionate to teach that they'll make you understand the toughest topics easily. The course curriculum for mechanical engineering is good enough but you don't have a choice to choose an elective subject. So you'll have to study the subject. They will teach you which is good but many processes are industry-based and not production industry-based.

Other: I opted for this course because of my interest in it. With Dr. S & SS Gandhi College it's easy to study the course because they provide placements in almost every field. The college organises sports week, food fest, open mics, and cultural fests which will allow you to boost your confidence.
