CBSE Class 10 time table 2025 is now available online. According to CBSE datasheet 2024 for Class 10, the board exams will be conducted from February 15 to March 18. As per the official time table, CBSE 10th Science Board Exam 2025 was conducted on February 20, 2025. 

The CBSE Board released the CBSE Date Sheet 2025 Class 10 on December 11, 2024. Last year, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducted the CBSE 10th Science Exam 2024 on March 12, 2024. The Board has released the CBSE 10th Result 2025 on May 13, 2025.

CBSE 10th Science Question Paper Analysis 2025

Talking about the CBSE 10th Science Question Paper 2025, Manisha Malhotra, Director-Principal of Satya School, Satya School said, "The Science board exam for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology was easy and highly scoring, with minimal HOTS questions. All questions were directly from the syllabus, some questions were even aligned with the sample paper, making it familiar for students. Overall, it was a straightforward and well-balanced exam.”

Sharing her insights on CBSE 10th Science Question Paper 2025, Dr Nisha Sharma, Science Teacher at KIIT World School, Gurgaon, said, “The science paper was moderate and well-balanced, with an overall difficulty level considered easy to average. It was designed to be accessible to a wide range of students, catering to varying levels of preparedness. The question paper consist of :

Section A: 16 MCQs + 4 Assertion-Reasoning (1 mark each)
Section B: 6 Short Answer (2 marks each)
Section C: 7 Short Answer (3 marks each)
Section D: 3 Long Answer (5 marks each)
Section E: 3 Case/Source-based Questions (4 marks each)
The paper was  based on the NCERT curriculum, which helped students stay focused on the prescribed text and concepts. The structure of the paper ensured that both knowledge and application-based questions were included, allowing students to demonstrate their understanding effectively.
The paper tested the students’ conceptual understanding, critical thinking abilities, and their skill in articulating scientific concepts clearly and coherently. The first section of multiple-choice questions and assertion-reasoning questions was straightforward and mostly focused on recall and comprehension.
The short answer questions in Sections B and C required students to apply their knowledge and explain scientific principles in detail, while the long answer questions in Section D assessed deeper understanding and the ability to explain complex topics thoroughly. The case/source-based questions in Section E were well-structured and assessed the students' ability to analyze real-world situations and apply theoretical knowledge to practical scenarios. The inclusion of such questions aimed to test students’ ability to think critically and problem-solving.
As per student feedback, the difficulty level was moderate, and most students found the paper to be well-balanced in terms of question types and topics. The distribution of marks was even, which allowed students to attempt every section. Students were able to complete the paper well within the allotted time,  which reflects the fair design of the exam.”

CBSE Class 10 Science Exam Pattern 2025

The CBSE Class 10 Science Question Paper 2025 is divided into five sections, A, B, C, D, and E. The total marks allotted for the A Section is 20. The B and C sections is of 12 marks and 21 marks, respectively. The D and E sections is of 15 marks and 12 marks each. CBSE Class 10 Science Question Paper 2025 is of 80 marks.
