A short information about B.Tech Footwear Technology course at DEI Agra.
Placements: The college offers a decent placement in this course according to the fees they are charging for the course the average package is around 3 Lacs and the highest package is around 4.5 Lacs per annum. Off campus placements also become easier as the college situated in Agra which is the hub for footwear industry. No batch of B.Tech footwear + BBA is currently passed out so the packages mentioned above are only for B.Tech footwear core course.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is great according to the fees they are charging the labs and the workshops are well-equipped. Also the department of footwear technology is located at some distance from the main faculty of engineering. This department has all the infrastructure related to the Footwear Technology course.
Faculty: The college follow its own education system. Regular class assignments and Cats takes place. DHAs are given which have a great weightage in your final evaluation. Every subject or course is of 200 marks per semester which is divided into 150 internal and 50 external marks.
Other: The college life in our college is very different from what we expect to have after 12th but it is really great. Students are not allowed to carry mobile phones at the campus. Also regular agricultural operations and social service class takes place in the college. Discipline is very strict in our college.

Highly qualified professors, good placement cell, average infrastructure. Alcohol & ragging free.
Placements: The first batch of B.Tech in footwear technology is going to place in 2018. Till now (Feb 2018) 60% of the batch is already placed in companies namely Shoeconnect, Liberty, Gupta overseas, and others. The placement cell of engineering faculty is quite strong, and the rest of the batch is going to get placed soon.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is aided with Wi-Fi facility. Also, the footwear technology has very well stabilised lab with all the required machinery and materials. Sometimes, there is a problem related to the availability of vacant classes. Hostel rooms are below average, and they do not provide any cooler or air conditioners. In addition to all this, mobile phones are not allowed on the campus which is a big problem for students. Coming to the canteen, food is quite cheap, but the quality of food is not satisfactory.
Faculty: DEI is known for its quality of education, so no doubt teachers are very well educated and trained in their fields. Also, they mainly focus on the practical knowledge which would help students to do work in the outside world. They use the projector to explain the things, and sometimes assignment also submitted online. DEI also provide the facility of distance education, and one can easily enrol in DEI though these distance education centres which is all around India. A number of teachers are quite good in the university. Also, teachers are very helpful and enthusiastic toward the studies. In addition to this, once in the year, every class got the chance to explore the companies to get real-life knowledge about how the company works and to learn the principles and methods of production. Also, the contents of the course are selected with great focus and only related to the mainstream of the course.
Other: DEI organises various events every year like youth festival, intra-faculty competition, inter-faculty competition and others like Founders Day and open day. DEI fest is known as Sampravah (tech-entrepreneurship fest). DEI has very limited seats in every course, like only 120 seats per batch in engineering. Location around the DEI is very clean and non-polluted. It is only about 1km away from the NH2. DEI is also known for its cleanliness as it came under top 5 institute all around India in the matter of cleanliness. DEI provides no scholarship of their own, but the frees structure of DEI is very minor. It chargers only Rs.6,350 per semester for B.Tech course.
