My experience at FDDI, Chandigarh, was enriching with good infrastructure and industry exposure.

Placements: Around 90% of students got placed through campus recruitment drives. Top recruiting companies included Aditya Birla Fashion & Retail, Arvind Footwear, Bata, Puma, H&M, Lenskart, Shopper Stop, Big Basket, Uniqlo, Apparel Group, Versatile, and many more. A good percentage of students secured internships during their final year industry projects or through placement cell connections.

Infrastructure: The institute had air-conditioned, modern classrooms equipped with smart teaching aids. Wi-Fi access was available throughout the campus. Specialized labs for footwear, fashion, and retail design helped students gain hands-on industry skills. The library and auditorium facility is also available. Separate hostels for boys and girls with furnished rooms.

Faculty: Teachers were very helpful and are highly qualified with experience of academia and industry. Students got the industry-ready curriculum that will help them to enter into the industry easily. The curriculum was comprised of theory and practical in all the courses, which helped students gain hands-on knowledge and experience.

FDDI Chandigarh, the destination of designers.

Placements: 87% of students got placed from my batch.

Infrastructure: Hostel wardens were very supportive, they are available 24/7. The infrastructure was very nice, and Wi-Fi was also available on every floor. The library was very quiet. The best environment for study.

Faculty: Updated machinery & time-to-time industrial visits with Internships in every semester. The faculty that taught us is also very supportive. They even helped one of my batchmates with her business startup. Teachers were available every time.

Other: My experience with FDDI Chandigarh was very good. Scholarship plan is also available for the backward categories. Life is very calm there. Rocking on weekends, as it is not that far from Chandigarh. The fashion show that they arranged for the students was also a rare experience. They invite different people for the different events during the ceremony only to increase the enthusiasm of the students. This year, the Convocation event, in which they invited the President of India, was really huge for every alumnus of FDDI. I have discussed with my juniors about their experience during the event that was peculiar. I can imagine their excitement with the talk that we had.
