I enjoyed being a part of GDGWI and I'm satisfied with the services they provided.
Placements: Placements in the college are good and are offered from different industries. They provide placement guidance all through the year for the students who enrolled for placements. Good salary packages are offered by the companies. The college provides good industry exposure. They always try to motivate the students. The placement rate is quite high.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good, but it needs improvement in some areas. Overall, infrastructure is well-maintained. Facilities like gym, football ground, cricket ground, and basketball court are available. Mess facility is available for the students who are living in the hostel. The college provides a swimming pool, various indoor games, and a parlour for girls. Small shops for sitting and eating food is available within the campus.
Faculty: Faculty members in the college are very helpful and cooperative. They use different techniques while teaching. Teachers are more like friends and buddies. The course curriculum is designed in a way which provides development and learning for the students. They teach using various essays, reports, presentations, etc. They even ask us to submit these reports and presentations for evaluation.
Other: Different communities are formed in the college to organise the events. Every year, they organise two events in the college.

A very good college where we had a good experience.
Placements: Placements depend on the students CGPA and their capability. Earlier, very good companies like Honda and TVS offered good placements. But they were dissatisfied with students' performance which ultimately gave a bad name for the college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of GD Goenka is good. They provide spacious rooms. There are options to choose from two sharing to four sharing. The cost of the hostel is a little high compared to other colleges, but the facilities are worth it. There are two wardens, and there are two hostels for girls. There are four hostels and four wardens for boys, and they are also good caretakers.
Faculty: The faculty members come to the class with a well-defined agenda for the day. Only one subject is taught per day which gives the student to ponder over the topic. The library contains various books including fictional, non-fiction, journals and newspapers. The teachers are not very strict. They help students in all activities.
Other: There were 100% scholarships for the 2017 intake. Scholarship depends on the CGPA scored by the student.

Our college is one of the best colleges in Delhi.
Placements: Placements in our college are low. Egon Zehnder is the only company that came for placements, and only a few of our seniors got selected in trainee and analyst positions. Around 10% of students got placed, and others chose to do post graduation abroad or in GDGWI.
Infrastructure: Our campus has a very peaceful environment for learning. There are enough staff members to take care of each student. The quality of food is appreciable. There is enough parking space for students. The campus has 24 hours CCTV surveillance. There are not many things to do in the hostel.
Faculty: The teachers in our college are well-experienced, and they are PhD holders. They have to go through Lancaster training sessions. The subjects are well structured, and the teachers are helpful. All the teachers have a different method of teaching. They take care of each student. The class is very small, and the timings are also very convenient for all. Classes start at 10 AM and end at 2 PM. A lot of research papers are provided to students for reading and analysing for the next session.
Other: GDGWI organises various events as part of academics and cultural activities.

Not worth the money and time.
Placements: There are no placements provided in GD Goenka World Institute. There was apparently a placement cell which was very inactive and didn't help the students. The students had to get a letter from the universities to apply for voluntary internships in companies. Basically, the college does not provide any placements and internship opportunities.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is the only thing that lures students to join GD Goenka World Institute. The hostel is very clean and safe. The hostel rooms are big with TV, fridge and other facilities included. There are people to do laundry, and the food is of good quality.
Faculty: The faculty members are great, supportive and friendly. Students don't have to attend all the classes, all the details are put in slides and uploaded in ERP. There are very good books available in the library for reference. The modules are pretty easy, and we get to choose what we want.
Other: There is no social life in GD campus. Some small-scale events are conducted but do not include a huge crowd and fun.

Really good infrastructure and satisfactory faculty members.
Placements: I was disappointed with the placement programme at my college. Rather than getting a full-time work placement, our college offered us two or three internships with petty stipends. One of them being an internship at Westin Resort in Gurgaon with a stipend of Rs. 3,000 per month. None of my batchmates went for it as we paid a hefty amount in our college and were expecting a better result.
Infrastructure: Contrast to the placement aspect, infrastructure of our college was really good. We had fast Wi-Fi, well air-conditioned libraries and classrooms and efficient computer labs along with CCTV cameras in the hallway and various other places. Quality of food was okay. It was simple North Indian food with no variation. One can expect an ice cream as a dessert on an everyday basis. The classes are held through projectors with well-structured powerpoint presentations. When it comes to the infrastructure, it is one of the best. We can't say the same about the food quality.
Faculty: Our teachers were qualified with most of them having a PhD and were available to us in building a transparent relationship. The quality of teaching was ace. Along with depicting valuable content from powerpoint presentations, our teachers gave us strong insights with respect to the content along with real-life examples engaging us in a lively discussion. Since the classrooms are small so as to attain better student-teacher relations, one could ask queries and add inputs during the class itself. We had 30 students in every classroom with a fixed timetable. It was systematic and efficient. The course curriculum was useful. I am currently doing an internship with an Australian company and what I learned in college is being used on a practical basis.
Other: We hardly have any events. The campus crowd is not that friendly as most people are from Haryana and tend to be with themselves or forming groups and playing loud music in their Audi or BMW cars. Small advice, try to keep a distance from certain people as they can be intimidating and can cause trouble. Some people are really nice. You have to be very choosy in selecting friends based on your preferences. We had a recreational room on the top floor, but now it's been closed for two years. We have no extracurricular activities besides once in a month seminar which includes industrial experts sharing their experiences. The surroundings of our campus are refreshing; it is surrounded by big parks and green trees. It has two coffee shops near the park, and there are umbrella seats inside the park where you can enjoy your coffee during the rain as well.

Satisfied with infrastructure, faculty , and studies.
Placements: The college offers placement. Although, very few students accept placement. The majority of students have a business background. I think the percentage of students that are placed is around 5% maybe or lesser than that. The companies that usually come are Cargill, KPMG, Egon Zehnder, Asahi, IBM, and more. The most common role is a business analyst. The average stipend is Rs. 20,000
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is beautiful. The entire campus is airconditioned. It provides 100 Mbps of the internet for students. The classrooms are spacious big and two screens that were always used. The campus has various sports facilities. Gym, squash, horse riding, football, cricket. A recreational centre with pool tables, foosball tables, and computers to play counter strike. Food quality is really good as it caters to international students. Hostels room too were high end with various beds. From 4 in a room to rooms that occupy a two in one room with a television, fridge and a common area to study.
Faculty: The faculty are highly experienced from various corporate sectors and reputed University like IIM, symbiosis. The course is of international standards. The directives come from Lancaster University. Occasionally professors from Lancaster came to teach us. In case of queries, professors were helpful throughout the course. Assignments were fun, and we were made to think of a holistic approach while doing assignments. Even after graduating I'm in touch with a few professors.
