2 - Selection Rounds
GIM admission to the PGDM course is based on XAT, CAT, CMAT, GMAT scores followed by face-to-face evaluation and profile assessment index. GAAT is conducted for admission to PGDM BDA and PGDM BDA + MSc Business Analytics programmes. Admission to the FPM course is based on XAT/ CAT/ MAT/ GMAT/ JRF scores followed by a PI round.
3 - Merit List and Admission Confirmation
The institute releases a merit list. Selected candidates receive an admission letter. Aspirants need to pay the GIM Goa fee to confirm their seats in the institute.

GIM Goa Seats 2026
Goa Institute of Management seat intake varies for each PGDM specialisation. Candidates can get a seat in the programme based on their score in the entrance exam. There is no reservation in seats for any category. Check belolw the GIM Goa seat intake:

The total tuition fees of PGDM course ranges between INR 5.3 lakh and INR 19.4 lakh. This information is sourced from official website/ sanctioning body and is subject to change. Candidates who will qualify all the selection rounds for PGP admission will be required to pay the course to confirm their seat in the institute. Students who apply for withdrawal on or before June 30 of the admission year, receive full refund of the academic fee after deduction of INR 1,000 as processing charge. Further, there is deduction from the hostel fee based on the duration of the stay of student in the hostel. Students withdrawing from the course after June 30 of the admission year are not eligible for the refund.
Admission to GIM Goa is strictly on the basis of merit and no donation in any form is sought or accepted in connection with admission. There are no reservations for Goan candidates, but for personal interview selection, the qualifying cut-off score of the competitive exam may be lowered by up to 15 points for candidates of Goan domicile/origin.
Considering the past three years trend, the CAT cutoff remained consistent for GIM for open category. As per the GIM CAT cutoff 2024, the Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM cutoff stood at 95 for CAT for the General AI category candidates. However, for other PGDM specialisations, it stood at 98.5 in 2024. So, the expected can be same for separate PGDM specialisation. Further, the GIM cutoff 2025 is yet to be released.

GIM accepts CAT Scores for admission to the various PGDM courses. GIM CAT cutoff 2024 has been concluded and as per the available data, the cutoff differs as per the PGDM specialisatons for the open AI category candidates. GIM Goa offers two-year PGDM programme. During the programme, students need to choose an elective for PGDM General. Below are the elective options available to PGDM students:

A pass in Master’s degree or equivalent in any discipline with at least 60% aggregate or equivalent grade along with 60% aggregate in Class 12 or equivalent is required to apply for the FPM programme.
No, GIM Goa does not accept CMAT scores for its PGDM programs for admissions. It only accepts CAT or XAT exam score. CAT score of previous year is accepted and XAT score of current year is accepted.
CMAT 2025 was on January 25, 2025, almost four months ahead of previous years. The CMAT exam is usually held in March-April, but in 2023 and 2024, it was held in May. The last time CMAT was held in January was in 2019.
The NTA announced registration dates via an official circular, which was released online on the NTA website on November 14, 2024. The CMAT 2025 exam schedule includes registration window open and close dates and form correction dates. CMAT 2025 registration has started, and the last date to apply was December 13, 2024, and the admit card was released on January 20, 2025.
Goa Instutute of Management only offers admission in PGDM through management quota. Therefore, you will have to fulfil its merit and even have a valid score of XAT and CAT for admission in the program.
PGDM is a full-time two-year flagship course that is offered by the Goa Institute of Management (GIM Goa). There is no work experience required for admission to GIM Goa PGDM program. Do note that the institute gives weightage to work experience during evaluation. This is as per the institute's policy. Even freshers are allowed to apply.
