GIM Goa PGDM Eligibility & Highlights 2026
GIM Goa PGDM is a two-year full-time flagship programme accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). PGDM is offered in four specialisations. The institute also offers International Double Degree in Analytics (PGDM - BDA , GIM + Masters in Business Analytics, Nova School of Business and Economics, Portugal) for a duration of two-years. Besides, the institute also offers two-year Hybrid PGDM programme in online mode.
Below is the eligibility criteria for PGDM at GIM Goa:
- A bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for SC/ ST) is required to apply for the PGDM programme. This is the same for candidates final year of graduation.
- Candidates who have completed a bachelor’s degree or equivalent with at least 50% aggregate and a minimum of three-year work experience are eligible for GOAL PGDM.
- Student must have taken XAT or CAT exam for admission
For IDA programme:
- The IDA programme mandates that candidates possess a minimum of 30 months of full-time work experience, with a preference for 36 months or more.
- Candidates applying for the IDA programme need to submit a ‘Statement of Purpose’.
- Candidate must appear for at least one of the following English Proficiency Exams.

PGDM is a full-time two-year flagship course that is offered by the Goa Institute of Management (GIM Goa). PGDM has received NBA accreditation and is equivalent to the Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree of any Indian university. There is no work experience required for admission to GIM Goa PGDM program. Do note that the institute gives weightage to work experience during evaluation. This is as per the institute's policy. Even freshers are allowed to apply.
GIM PGDM (Part time) involves the percentage basis selection criteria. 30% weightage is given to work experience, 30% weightage is given to past academic records, 30% weightage is given to face-to-face evaluation and 10% weightage is given to composite diversity index.

Students get INR 5 lakh scholarship in two instalments. In the first year, students get 50% scholarship and rest of the scholarship is given in the second year based on the academic performance. Student must have 5.6 or above CGPA and conduct of awardee.
Do remember that students can get only one financial benefit. This means a student who got TFW and already had ACCESS will lead to automatic withdrawal of ACCESS scholarship.
INR 2.5 lakh scholarship will be provided for the IDA program by Goa Institute of Management.

Yes, GIM Goa offer waiver in tuition fee. GIM Goa provides a tuition fee waiver scheme to students whose family income is less than INR 8 LPA to PGDM students. The tuition fee waiver is awarded to deserving students subject to a maximum of 5% of the students admitted. The facility of education loans is also available to students. The awardees would get a full waiver of the tuition fee. The award shall be based on the assessment of the financial need, considering total family income and economic condition of the family.
GIM Goa PGDM 2026 FAQs
CMAT 2025 was on January 25, 2025, almost four months ahead of previous years. The CMAT exam is usually held in March-April, but in 2023 and 2024, it was held in May. The last time CMAT was held in January was in 2019.
The NTA announced registration dates via an official circular, which was released online on the NTA website on November 14, 2024. The CMAT 2025 exam schedule includes registration window open and close dates and form correction dates. CMAT 2025 registration has started, and the last date to apply was December 13, 2024, and the admit card was released on January 20, 2025.
The total tuition fees of PGDM course ranges between INR 5.3 lakh and INR 19.4 lakh. This information is sourced from official website/ sanctioning body and is subject to change. Candidates who will qualify all the selection rounds for PGP admission will be required to pay the course to confirm their seat in the institute. In case, a candidates is unable to pay the fee within the specified time, his or her admission will stand cancelled. Candidates need to pay a application fee to apply for admission.
The application fee ranges between INR 1,750 and INR 3,000 plus GST depending on the time of application for one or two courses. The fee increases, if a candidates applies for more than two courses.

GIM Goa admission is based on national-level Management entrance exam scores and personal interview round. For BDA and IDA, candidates also need to appear for GIM Analytics Aptitude Test (GAAT) for objective assessment. Below is the selection criteria for PGDM programme:
GIM Goa conducts GIM Analytics Aptitude Test for admission to some of the PGDM specialisations. The institute conducts GAAT by the end of January. In 2024, the exam was conducted on Jan 28, 2024. The test is for a duration of 55 minutes with MCQs. The test does not have any strict sections based on the topics stated above. This aptitude test is administered online. This test conducted by GIM is intended to assess a student's aptitude in the areas of Linear equations, Calculus, Matrices, Progressions, and Abstract Reasoning.

The selection is done in two rounds, namely the regular and the achiever's rounds. For the PGDM course, a small number of candidates is selected for an early interview in Goa. No, direct admissions are not available for many courses at GIM Goa. The accepted entrance tests for admission to the UG, PG, and other courses is XAT, CAT, and others. FPM direct admissions are available for students.
