All over good faculty members, average placements, good infrastructure, and bad food in hostel.
Placements: 80% of the students are placed. The highest salary is 18 LPA. The lowest salary is 3 LPA. The average salary is 8 LPA, and these are the packages. TCS is the recruiting company. I have no idea about companies but quite good students get internships. I don't know about it because a lot of members start startups and do MBA.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of college is good. Labs are fabulous. Classrooms are good, few are AC and few are non-AC. Wi-Fi is the issue nearby. Hostel is worse. Non taste food, common washrooms, no games, and medical is okay. The mess and canteen should improve a lot.
Faculty: Teachers are good and well qualified. As per our course it mostly makes students ready for industry. On scale of 10, it's 7 difficult, pass marks for the exam are 27 out of 70 in internals. We don't have any pass marks for mids but we need to get 22 out of 30 in semester.
Other: I chose this course because it's quite a unique combination of CSE and business. I hope the mess food improves. Lots of events and good sports places are there.

My review of GITAM Hyderabad.
Placements: Placements in my university to the best of my knowledge are somewhat par with what we expect with good private colleges. MNCs and other big companies do visit the campus and pick good students but it's not the fault of the company as it's the fault of students who are not clear about the recruitment process. The top package offered is 51 LPA by Microsoft to two girls from the 4th year CSE course. TCL and Wipro are the highest recruiters. Some local Hyderabad companies and startups also offer good packages. The Mechanical course also has decent placements this year according to seniors in the course.
Infrastructure: All classrooms are well-equipped with Wi-Fi routers, projectors, and smart CCTV cameras with AI detection technology to detect cheating in exams. The library is 3-floored and has almost everything we will need for our studies. It also has a separate workplace for digital work. The hostel is a bit expensive but good. It is comfortable with regular cleaning and attentive staff members. Mess food is relatively much better than other private colleges with delicious and a vast variety of meals. However, students will find spicy food if they are from North India like me and it would take a few weeks to adjust.
Faculty: Teachers mostly are well-qualified and knowledgeable. Students would feel a language barrier if they are from north India like me and don't speak Telugu. They will miss out on the class jokes and stuff. The course curriculum is relevant and does not give a burden to students. I believe it does make students industry-ready but students will still need to work on themselves. The course pattern is divided into 30 marks for external exams and 70 marks, so a total of 100. In internals, 30 marks are for the mid-semester exam, and the rest 40 are for assignments and quizzes.
Other: I chose the course because I am interested in computer science. The thing I would like to improve in the course is giving a student chance to perform practical implementation of what they learn regularly. There is a flagship event every in February which is a smaller festival event throughout the year. The crowd is good and friendly especially if we are local and speak Telugu. Sports activities and other extracurricular activities such as seminars and hackathons are conducted on a regular basis.

Placements department is not up to the mark.
Placements: Around 50-60% students were placed in good companies. Few fraud companies also visited the campus. Top Company was Accenture which hired only 20 students. No proper response is given by the management for raised concerns. The performance of the placements cell is poor. They must give better training to the students.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good but the food quality is not up to the mark. Medical facilities are not properly available. There must be grills placed for the parapet walls for students’ safety. Traffic security is rude. The canteen’s food quality is not good but they charge high. Food parcels in carry bags are not allowed on the canteen, we need to bring plates which becomes very difficult to handle.
Faculty: Faculty members are somewhat okay. Fee to clear the backlog exams is too high. The curriculum is too tough. Exam syllabus is tough with 9-10 subjects per semester. They purposely fail the students to extract backlog fees. No gaps are given between the exams. Few faculty members don't even explain properly.

Excellent and good college.
Placements: The latest package offered is 1.23 crores in AWS, and for internships, the courses provide opportunities at HAL, Microsoft, and more. Only a few top companies recruited, and only some students are selected. Overall, campus placement is average, as only some students are placed.
Infrastructure: Facilities are good, with around 4 to 5 auditoriums. Canteen and the food is good. Our college environment is nice, and the ambiance inside the classrooms is pleasant. There are some AC classrooms and some non-AC classrooms.
Faculty: Excellent teaching. Internal examinations are easy, and for externals, there are 30 marks, to pass, we need a minimum of 10. The external exams are for 70 marks, with a minimum passing mark of 28. We can easily achieve this by completing quizzes and assignments.
Other: Events are just amazing.

GITAM- A quick review based on my personal experience.
Placements: According to my seniors, around 60 to 75 percent of students get placed through campus placements. Most opportunities come from IT and core companies. Placement support is decent, but getting placed depends on individual effort and skill.
Infrastructure: Great labs and well-maintained classrooms. The cafeteria serves good food. The sports areas are impressive with plenty of space and proper equipment. Overall, the campus infrastructure is solid and supports academics and extracurricular activities really well.
Faculty: Everything is fine overall. But sometimes, a few students or faculty struggle to complete the syllabus on time. It can feel a bit rushed towards the end. Apart from that, the academic environment and campus experience are genuinely great. The curriculum is relevant.
Other: Fests and events are great, and the security is great too.

Placements: I am from the electronics and communication engineering (ECE) department at GITAM University, Hyderabad campus. In our batch, around 45-50% of students got placed through campus recruitment. The placement cell is active but mainly attracts IT service companies. The highest package offered is around 10 LPA (by product-based companies through off-campus drives), while the average package hovered around 3.5 LPA. The lowest is close to 2.5 LPA.
Infrastructure: GITAM Hyderabad has modern infrastructure with smart classrooms, well-equipped labs, and a spacious central library with digital access. Campus is Wi-Fi enabled, though connectivity may vary. It has good sports facilities, including courts, a gym, and indoor games. Innovation labs and incubation centers support project work and startups. Campus is clean, green, and secured with CCTV. Canteens and medical facilities are available, making it a comfortable environment for students. Overall, the infrastructure supports both academic and personal development effectively.
Faculty: Faculty members at GITAM Hyderabad are supportive and well-qualified, especially in core departments like ECE and CSE. Question papers are mostly moderate, with a mixture of theory and application-based questions. Internal assessment, assignments, and lab work carry weightage, so consistent performance throughout the semester is important for good grades.
Other: The crowd at GITAM Hyderabad is diverse, with students from various states and backgrounds, creating a friendly and inclusive atmosphere. Most students are approachable and focused on academics, with a good balance of fun and learning. Campus life is lively, especially during fests, club activities, and cultural events.
