My review of GITAM Hyderabad.
Placements: Placements in my university to the best of my knowledge are somewhat par with what we expect with good private colleges. MNCs and other big companies do visit the campus and pick good students but it's not the fault of the company as it's the fault of students who are not clear about the recruitment process. The top package offered is 51 LPA by Microsoft to two girls from the 4th year CSE course. TCL and Wipro are the highest recruiters. Some local Hyderabad companies and startups also offer good packages. The Mechanical course also has decent placements this year according to seniors in the course.
Infrastructure: All classrooms are well-equipped with Wi-Fi routers, projectors, and smart CCTV cameras with AI detection technology to detect cheating in exams. The library is 3-floored and has almost everything we will need for our studies. It also has a separate workplace for digital work. The hostel is a bit expensive but good. It is comfortable with regular cleaning and attentive staff members. Mess food is relatively much better than other private colleges with delicious and a vast variety of meals. However, students will find spicy food if they are from North India like me and it would take a few weeks to adjust.
Faculty: Teachers mostly are well-qualified and knowledgeable. Students would feel a language barrier if they are from north India like me and don't speak Telugu. They will miss out on the class jokes and stuff. The course curriculum is relevant and does not give a burden to students. I believe it does make students industry-ready but students will still need to work on themselves. The course pattern is divided into 30 marks for external exams and 70 marks, so a total of 100. In internals, 30 marks are for the mid-semester exam, and the rest 40 are for assignments and quizzes.
Other: I chose the course because I am interested in computer science. The thing I would like to improve in the course is giving a student chance to perform practical implementation of what they learn regularly. There is a flagship event every in February which is a smaller festival event throughout the year. The crowd is good and friendly especially if we are local and speak Telugu. Sports activities and other extracurricular activities such as seminars and hackathons are conducted on a regular basis.

GITAM- A quick review based on my personal experience.
Placements: According to my seniors, around 60 to 75 percent of students get placed through campus placements. Most opportunities come from IT and core companies. Placement support is decent, but getting placed depends on individual effort and skill.
Infrastructure: Great labs and well-maintained classrooms. The cafeteria serves good food. The sports areas are impressive with plenty of space and proper equipment. Overall, the campus infrastructure is solid and supports academics and extracurricular activities really well.
Faculty: Everything is fine overall. But sometimes, a few students or faculty struggle to complete the syllabus on time. It can feel a bit rushed towards the end. Apart from that, the academic environment and campus experience are genuinely great. The curriculum is relevant.
Other: Fests and events are great, and the security is great too.

Placements department is not up to the mark.
Placements: Around 50-60% students were placed in good companies. Few fraud companies also visited the campus. Top Company was Accenture which hired only 20 students. No proper response is given by the management for raised concerns. The performance of the placements cell is poor. They must give better training to the students.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good but the food quality is not up to the mark. Medical facilities are not properly available. There must be grills placed for the parapet walls for students’ safety. Traffic security is rude. The canteen’s food quality is not good but they charge high. Food parcels in carry bags are not allowed on the canteen, we need to bring plates which becomes very difficult to handle.
Faculty: Faculty members are somewhat okay. Fee to clear the backlog exams is too high. The curriculum is too tough. Exam syllabus is tough with 9-10 subjects per semester. They purposely fail the students to extract backlog fees. No gaps are given between the exams. Few faculty members don't even explain properly.
Other: No.

Life and insights of gitam you can get to know about the college in this review.
Placements: The students are going to be eligible for placements from the 6th semester and internship from 3rd or 4th semester itself. The placement percentage is upto 78% and the highest offer made was 65L from microsoft. The internships here are applicable from 3rd semester and you can get some good internships in this college.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are well maintained and tha classrooms are sound proof, classes have projectors and screens for better understanding including a whiteboards and there is a Wi-Fi for every class in the college, the labs are good here unlike other colleges the systems are well maintained without any lag issues and with better system Specifications the classes.
Faculty: The faculty members here are very good and interactive you'll have some good system of examinations. There is going to be a midterm examination and quizzes including assignments and in the end there is going to be a semester end examination in which all the subjects are not written some are depended only on assessment and the grading here is relatively for some subjects and absolute for some subjects. The pass percentage was 70% this year.
Other: The main reason for me choosing this college is for the environment here and the facilities they provide are the best for me. You can get into this college by writing GAT or JEE. The cutoffs are not so much but you can easily get a seat hereIThe events that happen here are at a very wide range and you can enjoy them alot. The fest called pramana especially is very famous for its celebrations and cultural events. The library here is very good and you'll have a wide range of books to study here. The classrooms are highly technological and innovative with projectors and screens installed.

Absolutely dissatisfied of internship opportunities, but campus life & library facilities are best.
Placements: As I have taken a computer science course, in this course, fewer students got placed, as I observed. Good companies are approaching but they are selecting a smaller number of students. The highest package offered is 20 LPA, the average package is 10 LPA, and the lowest package is 3.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies such as Musigma, TCS, Coforge, etc. approached. Internship opportunities are not provided for our college; we should get them on our own by trying off campus. 25 percent people got internships in our course out of 100 percent students.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure of our college are good. Classrooms, libraries, and computer labs are decent and very good enough. They are always available to use properly and in a hygienic way. Hostel facilities are bad when compared to college classrooms. The hostel room contains 4 beds and a common washroom for the whole hostel. There are 4 floors, of which a common washroom for each floor . Garden area , sports area, gym, canteen, and juice stalls are available in the hostel area. Hostel food quality is quite bad. In a week of 7 days, I would say only 2 days of food will be better than other days. Dal is the common food that is supplied for all the week days. quality of food is average. sports and games are best there; we can play badminton, ring ball, cricket, football, and basket ball sports, which are quite good and best there. Medical facilities are good. A nurse is available there who takes care of students if anyone falls ill and sick and also provides good medicines and an ambulance is also available there, which is quite good.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful for explanations and doubt clarifications and they are knowledgeable. Teaching quality is average; most of the time the lectures just read the PowerPoint slides, which is disappointing for me. If we get doubts, they will definitely clarify them with utmost efficiency in an easy-to-understand way in depth, but in regular class times, faculty members just read them . I feel course curriculum is not industry-ready; it was just semester exam-ready , just to qualify btech semester exams and get a good CGPA. In-depth knowledge of CSE subjects is not industry-ready. Semester exam difficulty level depends on our preparation and the way of our understanding. it was easy, according to me, as I never felt any difficulty passing semester examinations. My overall CGPA was 8.7. The pass percentage is very good in our college; that is 80 percent, I feel, which is quite good enough.
Other: I chose the Computer Science and Engineering course due to its high demand; I felt it would be a great way to land a job after graduation. In addition to this, I can get to work on cutting-edge technology and help create new things that can change the world. It is a branch where I can explore more areas like artificial intelligence, data science, cloud computing, software development and tech jobs. Tech jobs also often get pretty good pay by considering all these I chose this course and are best in this course. Improvements such as gaining more hands-on experience, more practical projects and internships could help students. Soft skills training, which could help students in their future careers. Industry partnerships, such as collaborating with top tech companies to conduct workshops, etc. Events, festivals, surroundings , and extracurricular activities are very good in our campus, which is a good add-on.
