Overall, Government College of Arts and Science, Kumbakonam.

Placements: There was no placement in this college. It was free for me. I didn’t pay any kind of fee. All I needed to do was get a good percentage in 12th. Admission was given on the basis of photos and mark comparison. Everyone who came to study here shouldn’t have focused only on projects and studies. They should have also done extracurricular activities. They should have learned typing, Java, C++, etc. so that they could get a job.

Infrastructure: If you looked at the interior, it was called South Indian Cambridge. It created a good atmosphere. Court College was a magnificent example of British-era architecture. Many times, lizards had fallen into the hostel food. All the buildings were in a state of collapse. Later, the government rebuilt and renovated everything.

Faculty: If you came and saw it, the examination hall was superbly designed. Teachers who came for the examination were very strict and honest. They had weight certification. An honest written exam to avoid fake attendance records. To create a situation where students could return to school for the same semester even if the attendance records were sufficient.

Other: No campus placement was conducted.

Review of Government Arts College, Kumbakonam.

Placements: In our college, almost 25% of students were placed. It was a government college, so the college fee was low. Top recruiting companies like Equator Bank, Indian Bank, etc., visited our campus.

Infrastructure: In our college, lab facilities were well-maintained. They provided separate systems for students in CLP classes. Our college had a pleasant atmosphere. Library facilities were good for students.

Faculty: Our teachers were fair and friendly. They helped us clear our doubts without fear. Semester exams were conducted strictly. They maintained the exam hall clean and tidy. The pass percentage was 96-97%. The teaching quality was good.

It is a good college which provides the best education at affordable prices.

Placements: Students who score more than 30 marks in TANCET Exam can get admission in this college. Many students of the college get placed in MNCs with good salary packages. Exam fees of Rs. 2,500 for a semester has to be paid to the college. I haven't completed my course yet. I don't know anything regarding previous year students, and where are they working.

Infrastructure: Our college has good infrastructure, and it consists of old traditional style buildings. Our college is also called as Cambridge of South India. The campus is monitored by CCTV cameras. Every department has its labs, libraries and classrooms. A general library is also located on our campus. Hostel facility is provided in our college. Canteen, sports and games are also available in the college.

Faculty: Experienced government staff members are appointed in our college by the state government. The management board also organises guest lecturs. Students are well trained by the staff members. Even they do hard work to get students placed in the relevant sector.

Other: I opted for the course because I Am interested in getting a master degree in it.
