Candidates need to apply for TNEA and can select their courses.Admission to all undergraduate programmes are through the single window system. Reservations are provided for BC/MBC/DNC/SC/ST etc. as per the rules of the Government of TamilNadu. Reservations are also provided for Physically handicapped / Ex-Service men / Sports persons / Other state candidates.

The mentioned marks of SC/ST and OBC is for the candidate belonging to maharashtra State.
Candidates who are appearing at the qualifying examination are also eligible.
Maharashtra State candidates must have to appear for MHTCET. All India Candidates need to appear for MHTCET/NEET. However, preference shall be given to the candidate obtaining non zero positive score in NEET over the candidates who obtained non zero score in MHTCET.D.PharmaCandidate must have completed 17 years of age in the year of admission.
The mentioned marks of SC/ST and OBC is for the candidate belonging to maharashtra State.

The selection criteria for B.E. / B.Tech courses at Alagappa Chettiar Government College of Engineering and Technology (ACGCET) are done based on the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) process. The candidate should have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects. For general category students, a minimum of 50% marks in the qualifying examination, i.e., Class 12, is required. Relaxation is available for reserved categories, SC/ST, OBC. The admissions are given based on the merit list that is prepared by TNEA considering the marks secured by the candidate in the qualifying exam and no entrance examination is conducted.
