Review of Government College, Rourkela.

Placements: There were so many opportunities for jobs. Almost 20,000 students come every year. The fee for one semester is Rs. 26,000 so any person can complete engineering. Approximately 50%-60% of the students got placed. Although most courses have placements, that is not a privilege that can be enjoyed by mass communication students. It is sadly based on internships undertaken from students sides.

Infrastructure: The college had comprehensive hostel facilities for the students. There were separate boarding and lodging facilities available for outstation boys and girls inside our beautiful and spacious campus. The hostel provided the students with an atmosphere much like a home away from home. It was provided with all the necessary facilities which helps them to acclimatize well with this new ambiance. Seats were limited and allotted on a first-come-first-served basis. The canteens served quality food which caters to all regional Indian cuisines for variety and taste.

Faculty: I am truly satisfied with the faculty members of this college. They all are knowledgeable. They help us at every point. They were very cooperative, and it also helps us to learn things easily because the bond between students and teachers was quite good. The semester exams of this college were for namesake. There was no pressure on students about exams.

Other: I chose this course from one of my references. The campus is surrounded by greenery.

Government College, Rourkela.

Placements: The placement in our course or college is significant. Our college offers only basic courses, not vocational, so no active placement cell is present. Some students find internship offers by themselves. Career opportunities are Accountant, Auditor, etc.

Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available for our course are average. The classroom is dirty, with bird dung. The library is present in the college. Basic medical facilities are available on the campus. The canteen was not in the college. Sports and games are not played.

Faculty: The teachers are helpful, qualified and knowledgeable in their respective domains. The teaching quality of our faculty members is good, but as government professors, they are not interested in teaching much. The course curriculum was relevant. The semester examination is at a moderate level.
