Review of Government College, Rourkela.

Placements: In our course there are several levels of students ranging from an average of 50 percent to maximum of 90 percent. Approximately 65 percent -75 percent of students from technical and professional courses are placed in our batch. The exact percentage may vary across different departments.

Infrastructure: I'm not staying in the hostel, so I can't be completely sure about it. But, I can say for sure that environment seemed nice to me and food is good. There doesn't seem to be any problem with the hostel. Rules and regulations are also maintained. Overall, it's good.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and support students to the fullest. They teach very well, give important questions that will help in the future, and provide guidance that helps students grow personally. Overall, teachers are very supportive.

The Review of Government Autonomous College, Rourkela

Placements: Around 85% of students are placed, with many companies visiting, and we have a grand placement system at the end of each semester. The staff is friendly and supportive, helping with interview preparation. Additionally, the college director is personally involved, offering thorough guidance to students.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good. We have air-conditioned classrooms and well-connected, furnished labs. For hostels, there are three room options: five-person sharing, three-person sharing, and super deluxe single rooms.

Faculty: We have a great faculty. The teachers and professors guide us properly and help with every matter without hesitation. The college director understands each student's situation and offers support accordingly. Overall, the faculty is excellent.

Review of Government College, Rourkela.

Placements: Every year only 20% of the students get the placement; placement opportunities are very low in this college. If I talk about the internship, only a few numbers of students get the internship. Top roles that are offered here are HR in marketing and salesperson.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure of this college is really nice as compared to the other colleges of Rourkela. The library is huge, consisting of a lot of books. Playground is there and that supports every sport including hockey. Canteen is also there, which provides amazing food options.

Faculty: Teachers of this college are really friendly, well-qualified, and put their personal efforts to teach each and every student of the class. Teaching quality is good. Semesters are difficult to attend; one needs to study hard to pass the exam. Cheating is not allowed, and strict rules are followed here.

Other: Overall experience of mine in this college is good. I have got good friends, helpful teachers, and everything is so nice here.

Good college. Good faculty with good environment.

Placements: One can become lecture or can do Ph.D. through clearing net, teachers are good. Principal is very helpful and students are also good. The environment suits for study. Again it is suitable for extra curricular activities like gameplay cricket, football etc.

Infrastructure: College hostel is good. Wi-Fi available in every department also in college. Library is available for all the students. Moreover all types of books available in the college library. It has associated with online system as a result students get the book easily.

Faculty: Teachers are good and helpful. Course is useful for various fields. Hard level of semester. Hard to pass the semester. Study hard to pass the semester exam. The marking system is good. All gets good marks in the exam. The teachers are help ful to the students.

There are no placements in the college, and teaching quality is very poor.

Placements: There are no placements in our course. For placements, our college is very bad. Students who passed from this college are not placed anymore. During COVID time, no companies visit the campus for placements. It is a self-financing course, and you will get many placements in other colleges.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure and campus are huge. It provides a cricket playground and two badminton courts. Hostel facilities are available for both boys and girls. The college has two boys hostels and three girls' hostels.

Faculty: There are no permanent faculty members for this course. All faculty members are contractual, and their teaching quality is poor. They do not even solve our doubts. As there are contractual teachers, they are changed every month, which is so irritating that you are not able to learn from a perfect teacher.

It is a decent college, and it is most preferred for science courses.

Placements: Rarely any placement happens here. None of the students from the B.Sc course get an internship at the college. Placements hardly happen that too, mostly for the CS department. The average salary package offered ranges between 1-2 LPA. The PG department gets some internships from other sources with the help of teachers.

Infrastructure: Our college has a well-built infrastructure. Our college provides facilities like well-furnished classrooms, halls, stage, auditorium, common rooms, clean toilets, library, and sports room. The hostel is quite decent with a well-furnished room, average quality food, and facilities. There are 3 hostels in large areas.

Faculty: Faculty members are pretty decent. Some are quite experienced, while some just pretend to be good. Some teachers are highly qualified and student-friendly. Their teaching quality is decent. The college mostly focuses on theories rather than practical. I do not know whether it makes students industry-ready or not. Semester exams are pretty in accordance with the syllabus and happen every mid-year.

Other: The college is pretty reputed for its courses in science. I had other plans earlier and had this as a backup. Still, due to some personal reason continued my B.Sc. in Physics over here. The college could improve itself by making students more practical, which will later help in placements and higher studies. Spring fest is organised every year around December. Our college provides scholarship programs for SC, ST, and financially unstable students. Other cultural programs and competitions occur all around the year.
