It is run by the West Bengal government and is affiliated with Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT). It has also received approval from the AICTE. GCETTS which is well-known for being a pioneer in textile education provides reasonably priced instruction with an emphasis on technology and engineering.
