Government College of Engineering and Ceramic Technology (GCECT) is a government college, not a private one. It was founded in 1941 and falls under the Department of Higher Education, Government of West Bengal. The college is government funded and governed, granting engineering courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. It is affiliated with Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology and renowned for its autonomy and NAAC accreditation. GCECT is one of the oldest engineering colleges in Kolkata and has a good reputation in Ceramic Technology, Computer Science, and Information Technology.

Akemi Business School (ABS), Pune, is a private institution established in 2011. It is affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) and is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The school is also accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), reflecting its commitment to quality education.While ABS is a private institution, it is recognised by the Government of Maharashtra through the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE). Jadhav Sir, Chairman of our JNIESTR Trust" on the college's "About Us" page. Private colleges are typically founded and managed by non-governmental organizations, trusts, or societies. 

The private Akshaya College of Engineering and Technology (ACET) was founded in 2009 in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. It is run by the Akshaya Charitable Trust, which was established by experts with more than 25 years of experience in the field. AICTE-approved and affiliated with Anna University, ACET holds ISO 9001:2015 certification and NAAC accreditation. It provides engineering undergraduate, graduate and doctorate programs with an emphasis on high-quality instruction and skills applicable to the workplace. The college academic activities and facilities are run by private management it does not receive government funding.

South Point Institute of Technology & Management (SPITM) in Sonipat, Haryana, is a private educational institution. Established in 2007, it operates under the South Point Group of Institutions and is affiliated with Deen Bandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology, Murthal. The institute is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).  

Dhaanish Ahmed College of Engineering is a private college. It was established in 2002 and is affiliated with Anna University.
