Almost good, teachers are friendly and knowledgeable, but the infrastructure needs improvement.
Placements: Approximately 50% of students are placed. The average package is 4 LPA, and top companies include Insight, TCS, L&T, Cognizant, and Amicus. Approximately 10% of students have internships. The top role is junior software engineer. Good friends to make good memories, and celebrating every function is the best.
Infrastructure: Facilities are good, with Wi-Fi provided. Labs, classrooms, and the library are also available. The hostel is not bad, sports games are good, and mess and canteen food are available in sufficient amounts. The college celebrates every function, including the annual function. Thanks for teaching many things.
Faculty: Teachers have knowledge and a very helpful nature. Above 33% of students pass the semester, and it is not difficult to pass. The teachers are sweet, innocent, understanding, and always ready to help us when needed. They teach properly, though sometimes they may miss a few things.
Other: I chose this course to get a job in the software field, and the best thing is our teachers. Lab and computer availability can be improved. Events and fests are the best.

Honest review of GEC Bilaspur .
Placements: I am a passout of the 2023 CSE batch and the situation was bad last year due to recession so none of the students were placed on campus. No companies visited our college and only a few were able to grab job offers via off-campus opportunities. The TNP cell of our college is trying their best to bring companies into our college but the placement scenario is regrading in our college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very old and requires maintenance. Wi-Fi is available but it is slow. I am a student of the CSE batch and I can tell you that lab resources in our college are lacking and hence we miss out on practical exposure. The canteen is available near our college but the food provided is either expired or spoiled. There is also a dispensary available near our college. Hostels are provided for girls as well as boys. The cost of a hostel is very affordable.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified and have knowledge in their field of teaching. The course curriculum was recently changed to make it industry-relevant. The semester exams are very easy to crack. Even if a student studies 4-5 days prior to the exam date, they are still able to secure good marks.
Other: Kaushalam is the techno-cultural fest that is organized annually. It lasts 2–3 days and is very fun. Every teacher and student contribute to making it a successful event. Apart from that, there are also events organized by various clubs of our college on a frequent basis.

Reality about Government Engineering College Bilaspur.
Placements: The percentage of placement is too low as compared to any private colleges and even TA is not given properly. The basic package of 3.5 LPA is provided, and 18 lakhs is the maximum package. I will not recommend it. If you have money, go to private colleges because they are good.
Infrastructure: Facilities are not supportive, and infrastructure is the worst. Water falls from the ceiling in the rainy season. Even some rooms of hostels are not used because there is rain in the room and they are not available to live in. The hostel capacity is too low, and the mess food is decent.
Faculty: Checking is the worst. Even if you write the answers, they will fail you based on their interest. They don’t check your content; they will check how many pages you have written. Because of that, the checking is the worst. I haven’t seen this kind of checking ever in my life in college.
Other: I chose this course because I want money, and I thought that this course will definitely give a good future.

Really good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: 100% campus placement is guaranteed for information technology.
Infrastructure: Hostel facility is available for both girls and boys. There are three hostels namely shaheed veernarayan, bilasa and panchseel. Scholarship is given to students who are enrolled in the hostel. Hostel is available category wise. Preference is given to brilliant students from SC, ST, OBC category.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and always provide career guidance. Course curriculum is relevant for the industry. It makes us industry ready. Semester exams are a little bit difficult and questions sometimes come from outside syllabus but solving previous year paper can help us the most.
Other: I had chosen IT branch because of growing demand in the market.

It is an excellent college.
Placements: In our college, almost 80% of students are placed. The lowest salary package offered is 2 LPA and the highest salary package offered is 15 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Wipro, Infosys, etc., visit our campus. Almost 70% of students get internships.
Infrastructure: In our college, facilities and infrastructure are not good. Many systems are lacking in the CSE branch. Sports facilities are not good.
Faculty: Our teachers are good, helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is good. The course curriculum is relevant. It makes students ready for industry.

Good for students who are focused on cracking government exams or the GATE exam.
Placements: Around 30% of students got placed, while the rest opted for master's programs and other government exams. The highest package is 6 LPA, and the lowest is 3.6 LPA. Companies like Insight, Amiscus, and L&T visited for placements. None of the students got internships through the college; around 4 to 5 students got internships on their own, generally as Associate software developers and web developers.
Infrastructure: This college is a decent Tier-III college. Facilities include a hostel, library, reading room, air-conditioned lab, Wi-Fi, and a common room (only for girls). Junior hostel is rated 3/5, senior hostel 1/5, food 2/5, medical facilities 1/5, sports 3.5/5, indoor games 4/5, and canteen 2/5.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified, but in CSE, IT, and E&TC departments, the faculty is not permanent, so one should not assume they will teach at a good level, instead, you need to study by yourself. The course curriculum is the same as a typical engineering syllabus, but students need to prepare beyond college studies to get a good internship or job. The semester exams are of a decent level, and the passing marks are 40%.
Other: Tuition fee is ₹72,000 for the complete 4 years, plus examination fees. The hostel fee is ₹9,000 annually, in which ₹5,000 is caution money (refundable). The mess fee may vary but generally falls between ₹2,300 to ₹2,500 per month. There is a decent annual function and alumni meet. SC/ST (male/female) students and female students (all categories) get a tuition fee waiver. For girls, the college is best as they don't have to pay the college tuition fee and also get an annual stipend of around ₹30,000.
