Reality about Government Engineering College Bilaspur.
Placements: The percentage of placement is too low as compared to any private colleges and even TA is not given properly. The basic package of 3.5 LPA is provided, and 18 lakhs is the maximum package. I will not recommend it. If you have money, go to private colleges because they are good.
Infrastructure: Facilities are not supportive, and infrastructure is the worst. Water falls from the ceiling in the rainy season. Even some rooms of hostels are not used because there is rain in the room and they are not available to live in. The hostel capacity is too low, and the mess food is decent.
Faculty: Checking is the worst. Even if you write the answers, they will fail you based on their interest. They don’t check your content; they will check how many pages you have written. Because of that, the checking is the worst. I haven’t seen this kind of checking ever in my life in college.
Other: I chose this course because I want money, and I thought that this course will definitely give a good future.

Placements: In the civil branch, around 5% of students are placed on-campus placements. In the 2022 batch, only two companies are offered their job requirement for the civil engineering branch. The highest salary package offered in our course is 3.5 LPA. The top role offered in our course is graduate engineer trainee.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good, and classrooms are available. The laboratories are also available with the latest laboratory equipment. The library in our college is available with the facilities of computers and Wi-Fi. Hostal facilities are good with a canteen and medical dispensary is also available on the campus.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified, knowledgeable, and helpful. The teaching techniques of the facilities are impressive and understanding. Faculty members used the smart board and audio visual ads for improving the understanding and skills of the students.
Other: Faculty members are well qualified and knowledgeable so students get a high level of knowledge and improve their skills. This college conducts tech fest and sports on the campus.
