B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering - Batch of 2023

This college was established in 2013, and it provided the best placements in TCS in 2016.
Placements: The placements are good. Most of the companies that come here are private, and they offer 20,000-25,000 per month. Overall, the placements are good. Every year, the college conducts a placement fair. This college also provides placements abroad.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. There is a total of 4 departments in Government Engineering College. This college is located at the main Ahmedabad-Palanpur highway.
Faculty: The pass percentage is around 18-19%. The total marks in exams are 70, and the passing marks are 23. The faculty members are the best. The teachers are from IITs. They teach us well, and they are very understanding. There are good facilities for exams. There is a separate team to conduct exams.
Other: The college fees is only 1500 per semester. This is a government college. The private college fee would be around 50,000-60,000 per semester.

Nice college, If you want to study electrical from good faculty members, take admission here.
Placements: Placements for students of whole district is held every year. You can get jobs in local company. Companies like Mahindra & Axis bank all visits the college. But I advise you to give competitive exams for jobs. Internship is held in 7th and 8th Semester. You can go SEE UGVCL & GETCO. There is no stipend. They gave you idea of your field. According to new notifications from GTU, you have to do internships for 12 weeks in 8th semester.
Infrastructure: Hostel is built few year back only. MEALS are good. Gujarati food is mostly served. Facilities like Almirah, B.Ed fans, table chair is available in each room. You have fill online form for hostel admission. The only con is that hostel is located 1km away from hostel.
Faculty: Electrical is a Good branch. You can get knowledge of multiple branches like electronics & computer Science. Course duration is of 4 years. 2-3 professors are IITIANS. faculty:student ratio is less. All faculty members are M.Tech. Term examinations are held every 6 months & are easy to pass if you are a good or avg. Student.
Other: Annual fest called Praxes is held every year. Sports week is also held. You can go to other colleges for fest. Smarts biards are available in classes. Library consists of many good books. Student Union is available in which you can join.

Review of Government Engineering College, Palanpur.
Placements: Our college provides the best placements for every student. It does its best to achieve the record of placements. This institution has been funded by the central government of India. From here, we can get quality with first-class studies.
Infrastructure: There was a first-class infrastructure here. Wi-Fi, labs, smart boards and all the necessary equipment are available in this institution. Our college provides the very best facilities in classrooms. All other things are also quite good in this institution. All the places are clean and neatly arranged. They offer hygienic food also, and the hostel rooms are also in good condition. We need to bring our own belongings. Other than that, all the necessary equipment and needs will be available all the time.
Faculty: The quality of teaching provided is also first-class here. There is a good curriculum structure and enough teaching professionals also in this institution. Here we can improve our knowledge through successive learning. Teachers continuously improve the pass percentage of academics for students.
Other: You will have a very good campus life. Like IIT Delhi, it is also an amazing campus for everyone. The fresher's party, cultural activities and campus events organised here make us more engaged from time to time. All the senior students and faculty members are supposed to do anything for their students. Our college provides more scholarships for students.

Overall, it is a good college because it is government and doesn't have very high fees.
Placements: Our batch of the electrical department is second highest batch in our college. I think in the last year, Adani company conducted campus interviews to select students. The highest salary package offered to one student was 2 LPA.
Infrastructure: In terms of infrastructure, our college is above your expectations because it is number 1 in design. There is a free Wi-Fi facility, and a particular department has its own lab. But the food and canteen are not available in our college. Even for a short distance, there is no registration, and vehicles are also not found easily for transportation.
Faculty: In our college, I don't know whether teachers are excellent or poor because I didn't spend much time in our college because of the COVID-19 pandemic. So, all colleges are closed. Overall, everything is not very good but also not bad. If we study hard, then professors support us.
Other: I chose this course because I have the ambition to pursue it from my childhood. My favourite course is electrical, and I have taken admission to Government Engineering College, Palanpur. I think in India, practicals are also added to the syllabus for engineers. Practicals are the main thing to have success.

For a professional course, this college is fine but not good for other courses.
Placements: Campus recruitment is not available in the electrical branch as not many industries visit here. Moreover, our college was newly formed and not popular. Nowadays, I informed about the recruitment offer from our college, but the salary packages offered are not attractive. Overall, I was quite disappointed.
Infrastructure: The food available in the mess of the hostel was the worst. There was a problem during exams due to the worst quality of food as they won't provide food with proper nutrition, calories and many more. At that time, many students faced health issues, including me. As the contractor was the local person who handles the mess without any legal tender, we faced threats and torture from him. It was the worst experience of my life, and even it was my blunder to choose the hostel of GEC Palanpur.
Faculty: There are few good teachers who have more than sufficient knowledge and helping in nature. Teachers are well qualified and kind in nature. Some of the teachers with whom I interacted until now guided me when I contacted them. I learned a lot from them and their knowledge of the electrical field.
Other: Events are regularly organised in a year. There is less crowd, and the campus connectivity to the city is good. But the location of the hostel is the worst, so it is difficult to travel.

Students must maintain 75% of which is compulsory, but the results of the students are not good.
Placements: Placements in our college are quite good, and many companies visit our college every year to offer job opportunities to many students. The average salary package offered is around 4-5 LPA. Almost 70% of the students are placed with a good salary package. Getting placed is also a tough job which makes proof that placements are well-facilitated in our college. Almost 94% of the students are graduating from our college, and MIT alumni will get a starting salary.
Infrastructure: MIT is an elite private college which is located in Cambridge, Massachusetts in the Boston area. It is a small institution with an enrollment of 4,510 undergraduate students. Admissions are extremely competitive as the MIT acceptance rate is only 7%. Popular courses include computer science, mechanical engineering and mathematics.
Faculty: Faculty members of our college are highly qualified and helpful. They are friendly and ready to help students in need. Some teachers are strict. However, every teacher is committed to help students. Campus life is good with all facilities for students.
Other: I have chosen this college because it has a good reputation and is well-developed in terms of job opportunities. The college not only provides placements to its students in renowned institutions but also provides both paid and unpaid internships to the students of the college.

Good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: There are no placements available to full fill students' desires the placement cell is very inactive during my academics but they are improving their selves for doing best for their students and getting more placements for their students by big companies.
Infrastructure: The very good infrastructure of the whole college and the hostel infrastructure of the whole college is very good and very attractive also it is earthquake-proof infrastructure and also a garden space for students on the campus and the hostel infrastructure is good students.
Faculty: Faculty members are very supportive of taking regular basis tests to improve students' knowledge they are taking progressive assessment tests by syllabus to improve their overall performance and motivate students to perform good scores in their external exams.
Other: There are many types of extracurricular activities like sports week and events like cultural nights celebrated by students and faculty members.

Placements are only for other courses.
Placements: My college does not offer placements for Electrical Engineering. They only provide jobs to Mechanical and Civil students. For Electrical, the placement rate is 0%. No companies come to us. We have to find our own jobs. There is no help from the college. Even internships, we have to find on our own. Our seniors are still searching for jobs now.
Infrastructure: My department is not good. Library books are old. Lab machines are broken. No teacher is available in the lab to help. The hostel has no Wi-Fi. The food is bad. Sports equipment is broken. There are too many rules in the hostel. Rooms are okay, but food and internet access are very poor. There is also no good medical help.
Faculty: Teachers are okay. Some cannot speak English well, so it is hard to learn. The syllabus is very old (more than 15 years old). We are not learning new things. Exams are not too hard but what we study is not useful for jobs. The college does not update books or teaching styles at all.
Other: I chose Electrical because I liked it. Here, everything is old and not working. The college must change teachers and update books. They must help Electrical students get jobs, too.
