Review of Government Institute of Chemical Engineering.

Placements: Students from our college were recruited by various MNCs as well as private sectors. Many students got placed in government companies like Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited, Satish Dawan Space Center, etc., and private companies like NFCL, APL, etc.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college had been under construction. The hostel facilities were available. Mineral water and hygienic food were provided in the hostel.

Faculty: Our teachers at our college were well qualified. They taught conceptually and practically. The curriculum was designed to gain knowledge, which was helpful for further studies. Every 3–4 years, the curriculum is updated according to the changes in society.

Good placements and well trained faculty.

Placements: The place is far better than other colleges. If you get above 70 percent you will get a good placement. The highest package offered placement of our college was Asian paints is 4.5LPA, and the average package of our college was 2.8 LPA offered by St Gobin and NFCL and the lowest package was offered by Cormandel fertilizers.

Infrastructure: Our college has good Wi-Fi. D-link Wi-Fi was available. Our college has a good government hostel available for students RS:2000 per month only and you need to deposit Rs:6000 for registration in advance. The hostel has provided an average food mess. Our college has good labs and better equipment labs available.

Faculty: All teaching staff was highly qualified and they are very clever and understood the students. They have good teaching skills. This course was curriculum relevant. It makes the students industry-ready. The syllabus was according to polymer industries. The semester exams in the college were very tough.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of infrastructure, lab facilities, and placements with low salary.

Placements: Around 60-70% of students got placed. The lowest salary package offered was 1.4 LPA and the highest salary package offered was 3.5 LPA. Top recruiters were Coromandel (Visakhapatnam and Kakinada), NFCL, Yokohama, Pfizer, etc. Around 70-80% of students got industrial training at companies like HPCL, NFCL, coromandel, ISRO, pharma companies like Vishnu Chemicals, Deccan Chemicals, etc. Top roles offered were valve operator and machine operator.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college needs to be developed. Maintenance of the college was very less. More number of labs should be constructed and there were no sufficient classrooms for all batches. The college also had a deficit of teaching faculty members. Bathrooms and classrooms were not maintained well. There were digital projectors in all classrooms but they were never used.

Faculty: In our college, very few teachers did their job perfectly. Most teachers skipped classes. Most of them were knowledgeable but failed to share their knowledge with students. The curriculum was well designed but it was not so efficient to make students industry-ready. Semester exams were conducted very strictly. The pass percentage of students would be around 70% every semester.

Other: I chose this course because of the influence of my family members. There was nothing best in this course as there was very less scope for this branch outside. Experienced teaching faculty members should be allotted to students so that sharing of knowledge takes place and students will get enlightened. Our college must construct more classrooms and must develop its infrastructure. Very less number of events were conducted on campus. Around 5-8 events are conducted every year.

Course is very valuable for diploma students to get placements and easily settle after the diploma.

Placements: 75 students were placed, and the remaining students are joining B.Tech for their further studies. 8 lakhs is the maximum package per annum. Coromandel steel plant, Autoliv and paint companies recruit. 100 per cent are internships in the companies. Manager and assistant manager roles are offered.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure and everything are good and fine. The college is clean and hygienic, and a canteen is available, and water is RO water, and washrooms are hygienic and cleaned every day, and the hostel has good food, also good in the hostel, and everything is well and fine.

Faculty: The faculty is well explained. Everything is good and exams are conducted well, and the curriculum gives good knowledge for upcoming students, and all chemical students may be trained for industrial practice and jobs, and the faculty gives them external knowledge through labs and theory.

Other: I chose it because it's a very good course.

Candidate must have passed 10th grade or S.S.C. Examination conducted by State Board of Secondary Education, Andhra Pradesh/ Telangana or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the Board of Secondary Education, A.P/TS, such as Central Board of Secondary Education(CBSE), Indian Council for Secondary Education(ICSE), National Institute of Open School (NIOS), A.P. Open School Society (APOSS), 10th class examination conducted by various State Boards of Secondary Education in India with Mathematics as one of the subjects. Candidates from NIOS/APOSS/other recognized examinations deemed equivalent to SSC by the A.P. Government must have passed all subjects, including Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry, with a minimum of 35% marks in each subject. Candidates who appeared or are appearing for SSC or equivalent examination being held in March-2024, and whose results are yet to be declared can also appear for POLYCET- 2024. There is no age restriction for appearing for POLYCET-2024. Candidates must be Indian citizens and residents of the state of Andhra Pradesh.
