Government Law College Admission Process: It is an entrance-based admission process for degree courses. There are two programs available at GLC, Mumbai. They are the three-year LLB and five-year BLS LLB program. Selection to LLB program is made according to the MHCET test scores. Besides this, diploma programs are also offered at the college. GLC Provides the Best Practical Knowledge for Legal Studies!

Placements: The reason GLC is rated above MNLU and many other NLUs is because of the kind of placements that it provides. I am myself a member of the placements committee and around 40 firms and organisations which GLC have tie-ups with. The entire process is fair and square, as students can check the status of their recruitment and internships. The initial salary in the legal field is less but still we have 8-10 LPA average package at GLC Mumbai.

Infrastructure: I am glad that the facilities have now been renovated, as there are now around 17-18 AC classrooms. We now have a moot court and a library with a sitting area that can accommodate around 200-250 students. The rest of the campus is quite small, but it is on A Road in Church Gate and is probably one of the best places in Mumbai to hang out. Hostel facilities are also not provided by our college.

Faculty: Most teaching at GLC is done verbally, as faculty members discuss everything verbally. Thus, they hardly use the blackboard and this is definitely the newest experience that I have had at my college. Our course is better than what's taught at NLUs and that is why many NLU students refer to our course material.

Other: The most competitive and smart crowd, if one wants to see they can come to GLC Mumbai.

Review of Government Law College, Mumbai .

Placements: Usually, the highest package is around 18–20 LPA. The top recruiters are tier 1 law firms like CAM, SAM, Trilegal, and AZB Partners, etc. The placement committee of my college is really active, and there is a website for college students where we can apply for internships.

Infrastructure: The library is really good, it has all books from different areas of law. But, the building is small and includes 25–30 classrooms. Right now, renovation is going on in the college. Classes are old-styled and give a 1980s vibe, but it's kind of cool.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful and very cool, they aren’t very strict. The difficulty level of exams is above average, and the syllabus is a bit outdated because there are no law subjects in the first two years of the course, which is a bit weird. The law subjects start from the third year onwards.

My review about this college.

Placements: I did three-month internships in different district courts and the High Court of Delhi. Stipend is generally Rs. 3,000 to Rs. 5,000 paid by lawyers or corporate law firms. There are not many companies visit but have heard about the placement of placement officers and many new and reputed companies to be visiting in the near future. The companies I have knowledge that visited in 3-4 months span of my college are Clifford Chance and some real estate companies. The highest package in past years was 8 LPA and the average is 4 LPA-5 LPA.

Infrastructure: The course is divided into semesters, every semester has different topics that are related to each other but the level keeps on increasing. The standard is well maintained in education. We all study post-college to keep up with the pace. The hostel facility is good but a little overpriced. We have 3 blocks each for boys and girls. A common room has board games, table tennis, football, TV, etc. Mess serves good hygienic food. The students and teachers living in residence have the same food so food quality is kept in check.

Faculty: Faculty of the college is highly professional. They mostly are renowned advocates of the High Court. A few of the faculty are also legal advisers of top legal firms and corporates. Unlike other colleges, the lectures are held on time. The faculty are very highly knowledgeable on legal matters of their field of specialization. The course is highly efficient. It gives you an all-round knowledge of all the subjects. There are two semesters in a year. You can opt for a 3-year course after completing your graduation or 5-year course after completing your 12th examination.

Placements: The highest placement offers are between 22-25 LPA, the average is between 13-15 LPA, and the lowest is 5-6 LPA. Infrastructure: The library at Government Law College, Churchgate is a peaceful place for students to study. The college canteen is very good and affordable, and the food is of good quality. The canteen serves a variety of food, including Indian and Chinese cuisine. The library also has WiFi networks available to students.

Faculty: The permanent faculty are extremely easygoing and qualified. The visiting faculty are a mixed bag; some are great, and some are not so great. The semester exams are easy to pass, but it's difficult to score average marks. The pass percentage is 90%. Placements: The college has good placement opportunities, but there is a need for more support in securing internships. While top companies recruit, students often struggle to find internships on their own. The college should provide better guidance and resources for internships, such as workshops, networking events, and partnerships with companies. Internships are essential for building practical skills, and more assistance in this area would greatly improve career readiness and job opportunities after graduation.

Infrastructure: The classrooms are fully air-conditioned and equipped with smart classrooms. The infrastructure is well-maintained. Our campus has five canteens in total, with one main canteen and four stalls around the campus. The sports facilities are decent and include a girls' common room and an indoor badminton court. The library is also well-equipped with a wide variety of books, providing a peaceful environment to study.

Faculty: Our department has well-qualified teachers who are always willing to help students eager to learn. The course offered to us is up to date and relevant. The semester exams can be a bit difficult, but if you study regularly, you can easily cover the syllabus and score good marks.

Take this as an honest review.

Placements: Government law college stands as an institute with a rich legacy in legal world. And one of the popular college in. For law, the best college one of the notable features of the college is that it has regular competitions like moot courts legal aid visits and many more .

Infrastructure: It is very hard to get into the college hostel. There are very limited seats. But if you can try with a minimum income certificate, you can get into it. Food is the worst part; you have to manage it. But if you have a nice political background, you can crack into the hostel, as it has the best location any hostel can have in Mumbai, being 2 roads away from the college and 600 meters away from Marine Drive.

Faculty: It has the best faculty and teachers. But attendance is not an issue at the college. Students usually bunk classes and just appear for the exam. Faculty does not work or seriously like taking attendance and other chores. Teachers are mostly absent.

Other: Location is the best for this college as it is near Mumbai High Court.
