Review of Government Law College, Mumbai .

Faculty: Teachers are helpful and very cool, they aren’t very strict. The difficulty level of exams is above average, and the syllabus is a bit outdated because there are no law subjects in the first two years of the course, which is a bit weird. The law subjects start from the third year onwards.

Good placement opportunities.

Faculty: Our department has well-qualified teachers who are always willing to help students eager to learn. The course offered to us is up to date and relevant. The semester exams can be a bit difficult, but if you study regularly, you can easily cover the syllabus and score good marks.

Take this as an honest review.

Faculty: It has the best faculty and teachers. But attendance is not an issue at the college. Students usually bunk classes and just appear for the exam. Faculty does not work or seriously like taking attendance and other chores. Teachers are mostly absent.

It is one of the best law colleges in India.

Faculty: Faculty members are excellent in teaching and very helpful to every student. They are also very well-qualified and well-experienced. Few professors like Pithawalla have been teaching here for more than 40 years. The curriculum is a bit outdated as the college is affiliated with the University of Mumbai, which needs updates according to industry standards from time to time. Exams are pretty decent level if you have studied well and you can clear them. The passing percentage is in the range of 80-...

I feel the honour to be a part of this privileged college.

Faculty: The staff members are very cooperative here and very kind to help, which has never been a problem in this college. The exams conducted here are pretty competitive in terms of difficulty level because students from all over Bombay with an absolute performance join our college.

I am decently satisfied with our college.

Faculty: Teachers here are quite helpful, patient and qualified. All subjects are relevant and according to the syllabus. Teachers try to make students ready for the outside world. But our college should also include a bit more market research about the current demand of students while deciding the course curriculum.

The college is known for its alumni.

Faculty: The faculty is very good. They invite many guest lectures to the college. As the college is near to Bombay high court, many judges and senior advocate come to college as guests. The interaction session with them can be very helpful. The permanent faculty members are very experienced.

If you want to work hard on your own, join this college.

Faculty: Teachers and other permanent lecturers are easily approachable, and you can contact them anytime. They provide all the support, and they are very friendly. As far as our course is concerned, it's really vast. Starting from BLS in the first two years of your course, you study subjects which remotely connects you to law. They aren't truly legal subjects but are basic concepts like history, political Science, logic, economics, and legal language etc. From the third year, you'll start with your lega...

Overall, the college is awesome, and you will learn a lot after joining.

Faculty: The college has a few full-time faculty members. All the professors who are working part-time are good as well as intelligent. Especially Pithawala sir is the main pillar of GLC. The college also conducts different competitions, events, interactive sessions with alumni of college which is the biggest plus point because this college has a big alumni base who are now working at different legal systems.

Good college for a kick start to your legal career!

Faculty: As GLC is the top college for law in Maharashtra, faculty is really good as professors are mostly practitioners in high court as well as various courts. They are the biggest source of knowledge for upbringing. Classes held on time regularly as some of the lecturers are so punctual.

Dissatisfied as the college had a good reputation, but didn't meet my expectation.

Faculty: The teachers are helpful, but unable to depart knowledge to the students. The mode of teaching is conventional, and it is uninteresting. They are unable to deliver lecture properly. The student to faculty ratio is 80:1. Internships are allowed throughout the academic year. The course curriculum is useful.

Satisfied, but a lot of improvement is required regarding the placements and faculty.

Faculty: Few part-time teachers are good. The rest of them are average. Full-time teachers are burdened with office work and are not great. Teaching quality is below average. The teaching methods include book reading or oral explanation. The student-teacher ratio 80:1. The internships can be done throughout the academic year. The course curriculum is useful.

GLC - A heaven for the law aspirants.

Faculty: The government law college offers two courses in law they are three-year and five-year course. Each of this courses depends on each other and taught by the rules laid down by the University of Mumbai and the Bar Council of India. Each of the courses has its criteria in the society.
