- National Exit Test (NExT) is a combined single-window exam for MBBS students to qualify for admission into postgraduate courses as well as to obtain the license to practice medicine in India. The exam is to be held in two steps to check theoretical and practical knowledge of candidates. Once implemented, NExT will replace multiple exams including NEET PG and FMGE.

Government Medical College, Alibag is not so good.
Placements: Since it's the first year of Government Medical College, Alibag so no complete batch of MBBS has passed out from the college. The course of MBBS has a compulsory 1 year of rural and urban combined internship to be done by all students and thus there are no issues regarding internships.
Infrastructure: The college temporarily is on the RCF colony campus in Alibag. The college is right now on the lease of 3 years. The main hospital and the college are built in the village. The temporary hostel and college are not so good. There is no electricity for 5 hours a day and there are venomous snakes on campus near the hostel. The college doesn't have proper lab equipment for practicals.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are all temporarily allotted professors and there have been tutors who are selected to teach students of GMC Alibag. The non-teaching staff members are not cooperative. Certain professors are not interested in teaching and students don't get the required attention.
Other: There are scholarships offered by the state of Maharashtra. There is a gymkhana fee but the gym is not made by the college administration yet. There are sports activities on the RCF campus but it's not allowed for college students. The crowd on the RCF campus is safe.

Government medical College, alibaug offers good placement and infrastructure.
Placements: 70% of the students were placed and they were provided 6 Lacs annual salary to the students. 60% of the students were given internship for Best training and recruitment. They are trying to give every student there best. Lilvati, noor, Surya, jai .
Infrastructure: The washrooms very clean and properly maintained. All the required books are available in the library. Labs are very maintained and all the laboratory were available. Notes were given for studies. Hostel food was good and they maintain hygiene. They provide Wi-Fi so we students can study hassle-free.
Faculty: Teacher were well mannered with students and they provide all the notes to study. Teaching quality was very good. Yess this course was relevant. Yess it make students ready for the industry. The exam was not so difficult. They have given notes so it was not so difficult to understand the things and exam went easy.
Other: Things should be more fun and practical. They should make things attractive for students to understand .

Candidate must have passed in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English individually and must have obtained mentioned percentage taken together in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology. In respect of PwBD candidates as per NMC and DCI Regulations, the minimum marks in the qualifying examination in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (or Botany & Zoology)/Biotechnology taken together shall be 40% instead of 50%. Candidates who have passed Class 12 from Open School or as private candidates shall not be eligible to appear for the ‘National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test’. However, this has been a subject matter of challenge before the Hon’ble High Court of Delhi, Hon’ble High Court of Allahabad, Lucknow Bench, and Hon’ble High Court of Madhya Pradesh at Jabalpur. Result awaited candidates can also apply,he/she shall not be eligible for admission to the Undergraduate Medical Courses if he/she does not pass the qualifying examination with the required pass percentage at the time of first round of Counselling.
