Review of Government Polytechnic College.

Placements: It is the best government college for chemical engineering. There was no government college for chemical engineering in Surat, so I took admission in Government Polytechnic College, Valsad. Students get placed on campus. Students can work, or they can go for higher studies.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college was above average. Classrooms were well-developed. The campus was Wi-Fi enabled. All kinds of transportation was available in the college. The food was also available. The sports ground was limited, and it was like a garden.

Faculty: The teaching methods were good. They provided us with good resources and materials for our respective subjects. By referring to the given materials, students can score well.

It is good in terms of campus life and academics.

Placements: Reliance Petroleum, Jamnagar Refinery, Ambuja Cement, and other top companies visit the campus for placements. The salary package offered is not that good. It is around 3 LPA or 3.5 LPA. For better growth in chemical industries, getting a degree after a diploma is good if you don't have financial problems.

Infrastructure: The campus has greenery around it. We have internet facilities on the college campus. Food is also available in the canteen. During the monsoon season, water gets collected near the hostel, so that's a problem at that time. A variety of food is available nearby.

Faculty: Teachers are knowledgeable and very supportive of students. They conduct workshops, seminars, industry visits, and expert lectures.

Other: Tech Fest and sports are organised.

Good college for chemical engineering.

Placements: It is a good diploma college for chemical engineering students as most of my friends from chemical as well mechanical branches got placed in good companies. Companies like Ambuja Cement, Hazira Surat, Reliance Jamnagar Refinery, and L&T visited the campus for hiring with average packages.

Infrastructure: With time I have seen a lot of development in the infrastructure of the college. Earlier, there were two buildings (old and new) but during my time, one more building was built. Canteen facility started. Annual sports week was organized. The library was filled with a number of books.

Faculty: Good teaching staff was there in the chemical branch. Exams were taken semester wise and one mid exam is also conducted which is easy. Industrial visits were organized every semester to sugar factory and pulp paper industry, Vapi.

Other: Events such as garba nights areorganized.

Good experience in this college.

Placements: Our 2020 batch mostly had students who were out of Valsad. In terms of placements, the 2020 placement was not so effective in terms of other years due to the corona pandemic. But if you select the college. Reliance Jamnagar and Hazira Surat come every year for placement offering a good package.

Infrastructure: There are 2 buildings in 1st year we had to attend lectures and workshops in the old one was not so good in terms of dust. While the new building is good. When we came in last year. Canteen came up in college before that we used to go outside the campus and eat.

Faculty: You will have problems when you enter the second year if you are from Gujarat medium but if you know English well then you won't have any problems. Mostly Gujarati is spoken on the campus which includes all the studies and college staff. All the syllabus is completed in a good mode of teaching.

I am not satisfied with 2020 placements but everything is good.

Placements: Placements were not so good in 2020 because of the corona. All the students who got selected were not called from Reliance. Due to this many students look for a job themselves after their diploma and did not fill out the form for BE.

Infrastructure: Facilities are good. There is Wi-Fi, lab, wide classrooms, parking, and library. During first year, classrooms were not good as it was an old building. If you are from other city then commuting is a daily problem so we rented a flat. If you don't get hostel you can find many PGs near campus.

Faculty: Teachers are corporate with their method of teaching. They provide material, refer books, organise seminars, and workshops. Students were taken for industrial visits every semester like sugar factories and pulp and paper industry. We get an amazing experience.
