IBS Mumbai Courses & Fees 2026: PG, Doctorate Courses

No, it is not compulsory as candidates fulfilling the criteria prescribed by the institute are exempted from the exam. The following candidates are further exempted from writing IBSAT exam:

• CAT with 60 and above percentile
• GMAT with 500 and above score
• NMAT by GMAC with a score of 150 and above
• XAT with 60 and above score

IBS Mumbai accepts applications via online and offline modes. For offline applications, aspirants need to visit the campus in person. Moreover, PGPM course admission is through IBSAT. The applicants are shortlisted based on merit in the accepted exams such as IBSAT/CAT/ GMAT /NMAT by GMAC/XAT. Candidates fulfilling the prescribed criteria are exempted from IBSAT exam. IBS Mumbai conducts the application process for all courses in online mode. The step-wise IBSAT application process is given below:

4. Proceed with the application form and pay an application amount of INR 1,800.

IBS Mumbai Postgraduate Programme in Management (PGPM) is a two-year course divided into four semesters. The course is offered in a full-time mode. Aspirants seeking admission must meet the minimum eligibility requirements. Moreover, the selection process is entrance-based. Candidates have to appear for IBSAT and secure a good score of admission. However, candidates with a valid score in CAT/XAT/GMAT/NMAT by GMAC with the required minimum score are exempted from IBSAT. ICFAI Business School, Mumbai has a good placements record. It is approved by UGC. In 2023 placements, the placement rate achieved was 98%. The highest domestic and international package offered was INR 18.80 LPA and INR 11.13 LPA, respectively. Further, the average package offered stood at INR 8.17 LPA. Some of the top companies that participate in placements were Google, Deloitte, EY, HCL, etc.

IBS Mumbai requires the following documents at the time of application:

IBS Mumbai PGPM admissions are entrance-based. It accepts various national-level tests which includes XAT that is conducted in January. Moreover, apart from the entrance test score, the students are also evaluated based on performance in the personal interview and micro-presentation round. 

The 2-year full-time PGPM program is an industry accepted management program. It does not have AICTE recognition but that does not matter as companies visit every year for recruitment. So as far as you are getting placed through campus it will not be a problem and on the other side the institute also provides an option to opt for the MBA degree program which is offered by ICFAI University Dehradun on self-study mode basis which will parallelly get completed with the PGPM program and that degree is UGC approved. So you can apply for Ph.D or any public sector job with this MBA degree also. P.S: AICTE approval is given to autonomous institute only which provide PGDM whereas UGC approval is given to universities providing MBA degree. Do not mix up both. Hope this is clear.

The total fee of PGPM programme at IBS Mumbai is INR 9.09 lakh. In addition, students have to pay Rs 10,000 as refundable caution deposit along with the 1st installment of fee across all the campuses.Living expenses are extra. This number is taken from the official sources of college. It can change.

IBS Mumbai requires applicants to hold a bachelor's degree in any discipline with at least fifty percent aggregate marks. The medium of instruction throughout graduation must be English, or applicants must provide proof of English proficiency. Students in their final year of graduation are also permitted to apply provisionally.
