The fully centralised, air-conditioned mess in each of the hostels caters to comfort. Recreational facilities include provision for sports such as volleyball, badminton, table tennis, etc., and are complimented with a gymnasium and common TV rooms. IIIT Allahabad also provides hostel facilities in a homely environment to about 500 girls' students of the institute. It consists of three hostels, GH1, GH2, and GH3, each with separate air-conditioned mess and gym facilities and 24-hour guidance from caretakers. Further, the students can access the facilities of the basketball court and badminton court in front of Girls Hostel 1. Wardens visit the hostel regularly to monitor and ensure the proper functioning of the hostels and the comfort of the students.
