IIIT Allahabad - Indian Institute of Information Technology Answered Questions

 if I go by the placement statistics and maximum package offered to an on-campus placed student, NSIT has better statistics than IIIT-A (as of today, can't say whether it will maintain it's lead by the time you pass out) but then at NSIT you (you being an IT student there) will be sitting with CE students of the institute for placements which of course if more known branch among the two. Having said that we (being a IIITian) too have our alumnus working at companies like Google or Facebook 1 of my batch-mates recently got into Google and 2 of my immediate juniors too got into Google). IIIT too is recognised globally and the opportunities an IIITian gets are None the less. At NSIT you will be awarded a B.E. Degree but at IIIT-A you would get a B.Tech. Degree. But comparing IT of both institutes, IIIT-A was established as a center of excellence in field of IT and is known for its curriculum, the subjects taught here are also part of the curriculum of various renowned universities in country. There is a reason why the likes of Google India, Google US, Facebook US, Microsoft India, Microsoft US, Adobe, Yahoo, Trilogy (now Versatta), Amazon, Linkedin, Flipkart, Snapdeal, OyoRooms, etc. Have been recruiting at NSIT COE & IT for such a long while. There hasn't been a year since 2000s when Adobe, Trilogy, Yahoo, Google haven't recruited students from NSIT. Not just NSIT COE and IT, many other branches have produced top coders in the country. Again, this isn't because of professors or curriculum, but because of the quality of students, inspirational alumni to look up to, coding culture and basic infrastructure. Thank you.
