It is not so, as some of the IIITs are the worst then NITs and the same in vice-versa. It mainly depends on the placements and infra of the institute.

See, the placements of both the colleges are almost the same and the problem is the fee if you can pay the RVC fee then opt for that, otherwise, you can drop a year.

Yes, you can opt for the MNNIT if you are unable to get IT branch in IIIT-A, but I'll suggest you be patient and see wait for the last round of the counselling, you can get the admission in this college only.
