Admission to IIIT Lucknow is through entrance tests such as JEE Main, not merely Class 12 marks. Although 75% in Class 12 will enable you to meet the eligibility criteria, you need to have a good JEE Main score for you to get admission. To take admission to the courses offered at IIIT Lucknow, candidates need to visit the official website of respective national-level entrance exam conducting bodies and fill out the application form in online mode.
- BTech aspiring candidates can apply for the programme on the official website of JEE Main and register for JoSAA counselling.
- For the M.Tech programme, the candidates are required to register on the official website of COAP. For the rest of the courses, candidates need to register themselves on the official website.
In order to Secure admission in IIIT Lucknow, students have to clear national level entrance tests like JEE Main BTech and GATE MTech. The admission in IIIT Lucknow also goes through counselling rounds such as JoSAA, CCMT, or CCMN depending on the course. The admission procedure will involve applying, entrance examination, counselling and confirmation of seat. It is necessary that the applicants keep track of official notifications.
IIIT Lucknow JEE Main cutoff 2025 has been released for all rounds. The cutoff was released for different categories belonging to the All India quota. The cutoff ranks for the General AI category candidates were between the range of 8540 and 13233. Out of all the specialisations, the most competitive one was B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering.
For the OBC AI category candidates, the cutoff ranks varied between 3480 and 18102. Among the OBC AI category candidates, the toughest specialisation was B.Tech. in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence.

At the undergraduate level, IIIT Lucknow offers BTech in various specialisations such as IT, CS, CSB, and CSAI. The the highest & average package given during IIIT Lucknow BTech placements for 2025 was INR 145 LPA & INR 33.71 LPA

IIIT Lucknow was established under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model with the financial contributions of MHRD, the Gov. of India, the Gov. of Uttar Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh Electronics Corporation Ltd. The fee for the available courses is not very high as it is not a private college.
