IIIT Sri City M.Tech admissions are taken, either through GATE or IIIT Sri city own application process. The eligibility and selection criteria for M.Tech is given below:CourseEligibilitySelection CriteriaMTechFor GATE:BE/ BTech in CSE or ECE or equivalent specialisation.For Non-GATE:BE/ BTech in CSE or ECE or any equivalent specialisation with a minimum of 60% aggregate or 6.5 CGPA (55% or 6.0 CGPA for SC/ ST/ PWD) from a recognised University.For GATE:GATECounselling and Admission process will be conducted by CCMTFor Non- GATE:Candidates having a Undergraduate degree from CFTI institute with more than 8.0 CGPA, will be selected on the basis of merit and then they have to appear for a coding test and a personal interview conducted by IIIT Sri City.Candidates who do not have an undergraduate degree from CFTI institute or graduated from a CFTI institute but have less than 8.0 CGPA, will have to appear for a written test conducted by IIIT Sri City, followed by the coding test and interview.

IIIT Sri City offers a Full Time PhD as well as a Part-time PhD programme to the candidates.Candidates pursuing full time PhD from IIIT Sri City can submit the synopsis only after 24 months from the date of registration, also candidates with Institute Scholarship can leave the Institute for job but only after submission of synopsis.Candidates pursuing part-time PhD from IIIT Sri City can submit the synopsis only after 36 months from the date of registration.The maximum duration of full time PhD is 6 years and for part-time PhD, the maximum duration is 7 years.

The students are eligible for 12 leaves in a semester. They can claim the leaves after taking prior permission of their guide.The students are required to mark their presence using biometric or shall sign the attendance register on all working days
