JEE Mains Exam Centres List 2026: The National Testing Agency has released the JEE exam centre list 2026. The exam will be held in 305 cities of India and 15 cities outside the country. A total of 33 new exam cities have been added this year, while 7 exam cities have been removed/merged in JEE Main 2026 centre list. Candidates can check the JEE Mains 2026 centres allotment through exam city slip.The city intimation slip mentions JEE Main 2026 exam date and exam city of candidates. JEE Main city intimation slip 2026 for session 1 was released on January 8 at jeemain.nta.nic.in. JEE Mains City slip have details about the JEE Main exam city in which the candidate is allotted the centre to appear in the exam and the date of exam. It helps candidates to plan their travel to the JEE Main exam centre in advance. JEE Main city intimation slip is different from the admit card.
NTA has announced the JEE Main 2026 exam date for session 2. JEE Main 2026 session 2 exam will be held from April 2, 2026, to April 9, 2026. JEE Main 2026 session 2 registration will start in the last week of January 2026. The JEE Main Application Form 2026 session 2 will be available on the website jeemain.nta.nic.in. The JEE 2026 session 1 exam will be conducted from Jan 21, 2026, to Jan 30, 2026.

The the toughest shift of the JEE Main 2026 session 1 exam was January 23, shift 2. Also, some candidates found the JEE Main 22 Jan shift 2 exam the hardest one. The JEE Main 2026 session 1 exam was held in 10 shifts. To overcome the difficulty level differences, NTA will normalise the score of the candidates.
NTA has conducted the JEE Main 2026 January session exam for BE/BTech candidates successfully across multiple cities in India and abroad. The exam was held on January 21, 22, 23, 24 and 28 and on each day, there were 2 shifts. A total of 10 shifts were held for Paper 1. As per the official NTA data, across the 10 shifts, 13,00,368 candidates have appeared out of the 13,50,969 candidates scheduled to appear.
NTA will release the JEE Mains 2026 session 2 city intimation slip in March third week. The link to download JEE Main session 2 exam city allotment slip 2026 will be available on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in. Details about the JEE Main exam city and date of exam will be mentioned in the JEE Main session 2 city slip 2026.

JEE Main exam is not mandatory for admission in Prestige University BTech courses. Students can apply with a valid score of other entrance exams as well. The other accepted exams are CUET/ SAT/ ACT and PU Aptitude Test.

Yes, SRM do accepts JEE Main score for admission to a few programs at certain campuses. As per the details available in the official website - "Any Candidate qualified in IIT JEE Main/SAT will be admitted directly even if the candidate doesn't take SRMJEEE."

Yes, UV Patel College of Engineering accepts JEE Main marks for taking admission in the BE/BTech courses. The college also accepts score from GUJCET exam for BTech admissions. Candidates have to undergo counselling and fill the application form of college.
