IIM Ahmedabad admission to MBA course is based on CAT scores followed by the Analytical Writing Test (AWT) & Personal Interview (PI). The Institute does not release the final CAT cutoff publicly. It is only available through account login to those candidates who appear in the CAT exam. The final CAT cutoff percentile goes up to 99 for General AI category. No, one can't join IIM without CAT. Candidates seeking admission to the IIM Ahmedabad MBA course must appear for CAT. The institute sends call letter to aspirants with score equal or above qualifying cutoff for Analytical Writing Test (AWT) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds. Students must meet both, the overall CAT cutoff percentile and the sectional cutoffs.The Institute does not release CAT cutoffs in the public domain and are exclusively accessible only via account login to candidates who have appeared for the exam. 

To be eligible for IIM Ahmedabad MBA admissions, a candidate needs to pass a bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification from a UGC-recognised university after at least 12 years of school education with a minimum of 50% aggregate or equivalent CGPA (45% in case of SC/ ST/ PwD candidates). Candidates, appearing for the final year of their bachelor's degree with final year results awaiting, can also apply. However, such candidates, if selected, will be granted provisional admission, only if a candidate submits a pre-final certificate signed by competent authorities of the previous institute/ university, the latest by June 30 of the year of admission.
