Hello,
It is indeed very nice to hear from you that you are interested in doing a postgraduate Masters program in management from one of the IIM's after completion of your graduation in engineering. I am attaching a link which will give you all the required information about the generic criterias applied by IIM's to give admission based on the common entrance exam called CAT. However every IIM has its different nuances. IIM Ahmedabad is famous for declaring that it wants a wide variety of backgrounds of students to join the class and hence if a student has a very typical background, even with low score one can get admission and on the other hand some students with 100 percentile also have been rejected.

The admission in IIMs to PGP programs are based on CAT percentile followed by WAT, GD, PI and work experience. The initial shortlisting of candidates is done on the basis of CAT percentile and this is above 80 percentile for all IIMs for general category. IIMs requires a Bachelor degree in any discipline with minimum 50% of aggregate marks from a recognized university under 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 stream. Hence, what is the need of doing BBA MS 5 years of programme and NPAT entrance? Because when you are appearing in BBA final semester of exam, than you are eligible for appear in CAT.

High chances that you might not get a call from IIM-A even after excellent CAT score. There is only very less probability that you might get in.

Then, they will confiscate whatever you gave them as guarantee. It generally won't happen but the T&Cs are clearly mentioned on the Loan application forms for clarifications.
