IIM Bangalore admission 2024 is completely entrance-based. Admission to the flagship course, i.e., MBA of IIM Bangalore, is based on a valid score in the CAT exam. The CAT exam has three sections: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR), and Quantitative Aptitude (QA). CAT syllabus is often said to be more engineer-friendly, but the truth is that apart from Quantitative Aptitude, no other topic of the CAT syllabus is such that students from the non-Engineering background cannot crack. In fact, even the Quantitative Aptitude section includes advanced-level Mathematics topics studied in Class 9-10. All that the candidates need to do is brush up on the fundamentals of the topics included in the syllabus from the CAT study material. In order to aim for the 99.99 percentile in the CAT exam, candidates must understand the exam pattern well, so that their selection of questions ensures they solve the paper with an overall accuracy of 100 percent. CAT is a speed and accuracy test. Practice as many CAT question papers and mock tests as you can to improve speed and accuracy. In this last phase of CAT preparation, focus completely on mock tests and revision. This is the crucial time when you can take your CAT score from 95 to 99 percentile.

IIM Bangalore Hostel fees are INR 80,000 for a single student and INR 3.76 lakh for family accommodation. IIM Bangalore students are provided with accommodation on campus in a well-appointed single room in the hostels. IIM-B has 16 hostel blocks, one executive block, and executive accommodation at the Management Development Centre, popularly known as MDC. Yes, it is difficult to get admission in IIM Bangalore. With it being one of the top IIMs, the admission chances are very slim. Only those who clear the high cutoff can get a seat in flagship PGP programme. Students have to clear not only the cutoff, but also the selection rounds to get admission.
