    On Admissions

Q:   Is the XAT cutoff released by XLRI applicable to all XAT-accepting MBA colleges?

    A:
No, the XAT cutoff released by XLRI is not applicable to all XAT-accepting MBA colleges. While many MBA colleges in India accept XAT scores for their admission process, each institute Sets its own XAT cutoff based on various factors such as the number of applicants, the difficulty level of the exam, the quality of applicants, and the available seats. XLRI, being one of the most prestigious business schools in India, typically Sets a high XAT cutoff to shortlist candidates for its management programs. However, other XAT-accepting MBA colleges may set a lower XAT cutoff, depending on their admission criteria. So, it's important to research and check the XAT cutoffs set by each institute to understand the eligibility criteria and admission process. This will help you to choose the right MBA colleges to apply to based on your XAT score and profile.

Review of XLRI Xavier School of Management.
Placements: In the first year, all students undergo the summer internships placements process. If an offer of employment was not made during the internships, the student can opt for final placements. The average salary package offered was 25 LPA in 2021. Around 108 recruiters visited the campus. Almost 100% of students were placed.
Infrastructure: Sports infrastructure was good in this college. The campus was always alive. The library was extensive and comfortable and there was rarely any book students will not find here. Classrooms were equipped with the latest infrastructure. The hostels were clean, all students had their room but shared washrooms. The meal quality was medium and overall all the amenities were good enough. The premises were cleaned regularly and students can voice concerns if needed. Apart from some negligible issues, the hostel facility was good. The faculty members of the institute were very knowledgeable and dedicated. They motivate and train the students in the best possible way. They take the classes in an interactive way which makes the learning experience more excellent.
Faculty: The course curriculum was up-to-date with this college identifying industry needs and making sure there were subjects and training offered to make students job-ready. Almost in every class, students would listen to a professor mention how whatever they were teaching would be used by them once they start our summer internships and even on our full-time jobs.

There were excellent placements in our batch.
Placements: Campus placements are very organised here. Almost 99% of students of our batch were placed. The top recruiters were HUL, Godrej and Boyce, TCS, Godrej Agrovert and Adani. The highest salary package offered was 25 LPA, and the average salary package offered was 10 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 8 LPA. The top roles offered were manager and management trainee. Summer and winter placements are compulsory for all students.
Infrastructure: Our college infrastructure is modern and has decent classrooms and mess facilities. The food served in the mess and canteen is affordable, and its price is fair. There are 3 computer laboratories and research classrooms. The library has a good collection of books, journals and magazines and has a decent studying area also. The campus is beautiful and near to a natural environment. There is an arrangement for sports activities also, but we got very less time due to constant studies and internships.
Faculty: All the teaching faculty members have been very supportive and helpful here. The classroom lectures are always supplemented with industry visits, case studies, role-playing and group discussions. The course curriculum is constantly updated and makes us ready to face corporate challenges. The examinations are not easy to pass as they require beyond textbook learning and a lot of research projects to be done.
