Apart from the entrance exam, IIRM Hyderabad also considers the academic performance of the candidate and performance in the personal interview round. Candidates interested in getting into the IIRM Hyderabad flagship PGDM course must appear for the relevant national-level management entrance exam or IIRMCET exam.
To shortlist prospective candidates for IIRM Hyderabad PG Diploma admission, the institute conducts an Actuarial Proficiency Test. The schedule for the test varies yearly. In 2025, the proficiency test was conducted on May 30, 2025. To be eligible to apply for the test, candidates are required to have valid scores in the accepted entrance exams. These entrance exams include CAT, GMAT, XAT, CMAT, MAT, ATMA, etc. Alternatively, they must have passed at least one exam from the IAI-ACET, IFoA, SOA, and CAS.
