As a proud student of IMI-Kolkata, I'd like to inform you that my college offers top-notch facilities in every aspect. Placement: IMI Kolkata's Placement Cell is extraordinarily active and brings a lot of internships from industry leaders throughout the year. They also bring multiple companies, including leading brands like Coca-Cola, ICICI Bank, Intel, IBM, KPMG and Deloitte - each of which recruits many students from our college. Infrastructure: We have a vast campus spread over acres of land. The building infrastructure is ultra-modern with a strong IT backbone. Our classrooms are spacious and well ventilated, the overall quality of the facilities is good. There is ample space for all sports and activities. The library has great access to almost all books needed by students. The canteen serves fresh food and is clean. Faculty: The teachers are quite helpful. Each professor is well-qualified and experienced. They take the initiative and help students whenever needed. The course curriculum is followed properly. Most teachers are accommodating enough to provide extra help in case a student feels the need.

In its the latest placement season, the International Management Institute in Kolkata witnessed 100% placements, with the highest package standing at 20 LPA and the average of top 50 percentile students at 8.07 LPA. That being said, if I were in your place, I'd choose IMI-Kolkata, regardless of its placement record. The reason being, many other factors come into consideration during education and placements. IMI-K is one of the finest institutes to pursue an MBA. The institute has many professors with years of experience in the subject area. Their expertise in business, marketing, and finance provides students with an academic edge, helping the latter put their best foot forward during placements. The institute also has industry tie-ups and collaborations with several top-tier banks, investment companies, brokerage firms, and other financial institutions. As a result, students gain early industry exposure via internships, seminars, guest lectures, and more. https://www.imik.edu.in/placement-overview/.

No, admissions at the International Management Institute in Kolkata are of two types - Self Sponsored and/or company-sponsored. The institute creates a cutoff list for all its programs for the various categories - General, Sc/ST/OBC, etc. Candidates are shortlisted only on the basis of their academic records, CAT/XAT or GMAT score, and work experience. The latter is optional. You're called for the subsequent GD, What, and interview process only if you clear the cutoff in your respective category. Certain B-Schools like SPJIMR, Mumbai give profile calls, but eventually, they also consider scores of CAT/GMAT, etc., to make the final selection of candidates. I hope my answer helps. All the best!
